    I think Melo needed some of that extra padding in his prime for when he went to battle in the post. His moves were unstoppable. In the past two decades, T-Mac, Melo, and KD are probably the most naturally gifted offensive weapons the league has seen. Injuries, bad teams, lacking that Mamba Mentality, or j******ery to levels unimaginable in KD's case are what separates from being in the conversation with Kobe.

    Melo started to lean out a little later than he should have. Had to play catchup instead of getting out ahead of it. But Hoodie Melo with Portland was in much better shape than Melo before he got blacklisted from the league. And it seems he's continuing down the right path. Must be finally seeing a path to a ship and the off season work with Bron.

    Me too. As mentioned I really like him after listening to his 30 plus minute interview on one of the shows (Matt Barnes's I think) and am eager to see that offensive talent he possesses on the Lakers this year. The defensive mindset from the staff to the key players we have HAS to help him in that regard this year, along with being lighter and probably a little quicker.

    We are going to get the best version of all these old dudes. Going to be such a sweet championship. The best part is Cookie is going to have so much doom to work with. I'm glad doom is a low calorie food.

    This is a trend that started in Portland, he was dropping weight and got down to about 235 during the middle of the season. Looks like he is coming into the season in great shape!
