Poluck came thru big last night. I fell asleep trying to watch that game. 16 inning's and a record for longest game since they instituted the runner on 2 base to start and inning in extras. It's always good beating the Padres!
Yea mane that was tough trying to stay up. Tatis always gets us too. I like him but I can't stand Machado
I was so beat last night, was listening with my boy until when Muncy whiffed with runners on 2nd and 3rd. That was it. If we lost that game, my sleep woulda been poop. Great news to wake up to tho. Pollock’s hot streak has been a great boost. And now Mookie is coming back. I hope they can manage that bone spur right this time. Machado. What can you say other than he’s a complete douche.
I'd almost let Betts sit on the DL for awhile longer to get him some rest. We're gonna need him down the stretch. His glove has saved us time and again. Between him and Bellinger it's been a terrible year for those 2
Yeah you’re right, but that’s the rub with Mookie. It’s whenever he’s doing all that running making those fantastic plays or running the bases that reaggravates the hip. That’s why they had him at 2nd, to limit his running. But now we have Trea, who’s doing OK at 2nd overall. I don’t know how they’re gonna do it. Man, that dude at full health is simply amazing at everything.
BTW, if any of you have the MLB app, you can watch all games for free today, except Dodgers and Angels of course
Be careful what you wish for is all I can say. The Giants have had our number for years now. We are 8-8 this year with 3 more games against them left to go. Hopefully we can pull ourselves out of the wildcard, we need all the help we can get with player rest and not having to win one game to get in.
I know. I know. But in all the years of this rivalry, the Dodgers and Giants have never met in the postseason. Yankees and Red Sox, and even Cubs-Cards have, but never Dodgers-Giants. 1962 was close, but wasn’t considered the post season. I think if our arms are ready and lined up correctly, we win.
And that's absolutely crazy that they've never faced each other in the post season. That's one helluvah stat! Did anyone see the game today? Justin Turner pitched the 9th? Lol I wasn't watching I saw the box score.
It really is, but then again, they’ve always been in the same League, and since ‘69, the same division, making it impossible to meet. It wasn’t until they introduced the wild card in the 90s I think, when it finally became possible, and long overdue. It’s really gonna be nuts. Also crazy that the NL West wild card, whoever it’ll be, Dodgers or gints, will have the second best record in the NL, but will never have home field advantage until maybe the WS.
