I hope Lakers get Kevin Love. He's awesome.

Yes we need one more SG/SF/PF type who can guard the likes of PG, Durant, Doncic...maybe Lebron can step up for that challenge and we can solve that problem in house

But Kevin Love on a buy out would not suck! Manna from heaven worthy ... even maybe. That UCLA connection with Russ. Old dudes who can muster up some good performance still, balanced by some good young rotation players.

Didn’t Kevin Love essentially get thrown under the bus by Team USA as being washed and then replaced by McGee?

Still… don’t care lol. I would gladly welcome him onto our roster. Being back home with Russ and Bron, a minimal role where all he has to do is catch and shoot threes + grab some boards, could definitely see that rejuvenating his career as long as he’s physically healthy.

i would be shocked if love agree to buy out, he doesn't seem like the type who gives up $ he has a ring n he knew Clev would suck when he re-signed

Love is still a useful player, would probably be perfect for this roster, but he is ALWAYS injured, that’s my main concern.

Injury prone and a mental midget. No thank you. Played 25 games last year. Tired of injured and mentally incapable players. Other than AD getting hurt, that was the biggest issue with this team last year.

Even when he is completely motivated, he's still a productive player who shoots league average from 3 and plays "bigger" than he really is. But, as Weezy said, he always misses games. And I mean - a lot of games, so what's the point of signing him if he is going to spend most of the time looking like this:

To clarify - I'd be happy to have him on our team if he was able to play at least 60 games and be available for the playoffs. Last time he played even close to that was in 2017 though. In 2018 he played 22 games, then 56, then 25 after that... that's not enough even if gets the minimum. Except if he only plays in the playoffs. ;)

Look uninterested last season and washed for Team USA. Plus he's always injured. Maybe coming home and playing for a championship can fire him back up. I do like the fit and was honestly expecting it to happen but midseason.

Love was a terrible fit for Team USA because he's not one of the top players in the world (neither was the Spurs kid or McGee but they were brought on as replacements for different reasons). Love is not a starter or a 6th man. That said, if he wants to reunite with some former teammates and return to Cali, he's more than welcome to backup Dwight and Melo as our 3rd string C and PF. He's over qualified for that gig.

In other news...I found a perfect 3rd string center for us

What if the decision was Gasol or Love as a starter?

Love is a starter only if he's 100% healthy and AD plays the 5 on offense, while Love plays 5 on defense.

    Basically:

    Russ
    Ellington/Monk?
    Bron
    Love
    AD

Otherwise - no. So, probably no. He'd play backup behind Melo and Dwight.

Well yes, they'd both have to be 100% healthy. I consider Love to be a bit more versatile on offense. For one, he's a slightly better and a more willing shooter which is great for spacing. He's still a great rebounder and an elite outlet passer which will lead to easy baskets. I think Gasol's playmaking would be negated with the addition of Westbrook. Gasol is undoubtedly the better defender though. It would be nice to have both.

Ooooh :ShaqOh2: …. that would be nice. Must have progressed some since we had him before. Good size and decent defense and athleticism to go with that pure stroke.

1 year left on his contract. Bulls did a good job of surrounding him with talent but if they suck... I don't know how we'd get him though.
