Did he get his player OP on a 2nd year? In case he needs it to have a job next season too.

BTW there's your proof, that no starting job would be guaranteed, that his behavior on the Lakers indeed was noted around the league.

I'm guessing for the JV team right? No way for the big squad would be my guess. If anyone gets that it would be just Reaves, with that extra 1M left over from the TP MLE for Nunn, added to whatever else so they had enough to do something they had to do?

Woj said a one year contract. I assume if there was a Player option he would have said 2 year contract.

You are absolutely right @Barnstable! There's an inkling of interest, and remember I posted a while back (see below) about how Donicic has sought advice from Rich Paul! The Lakers are patiently waiting for the Mavericks to screw up, and when they do, they will be ready to pounce!!

never really got proficient from three, either.

last time he played was *checks notes* 4 years ago?! when he was 31?! and it was definitely his worst year as a pro?!

he just faded away after Golden State moved on from him to the Curry era. I don't recall where he went, but he went out with a whimper.

Pro sports is just about the only gig where you are old and finished just as you are becoming a mature adult. One of the ironies of life.

I mean I might be on board with this just for the story of it if we end up with an extra roster spot

I mean sure, give him a training camp invite. But I don’t see him making it back to the NBA. Just too small and lost a lot of that athleticism that helped him carve out a career. Teams would hunt him on defense.

He would primarily function as a human victory cigar. It would be nice to be able to rub it in to Boston about how they ruined his career, yet we salvaged it and allowed him to get a ring.

But yeah, it’d essentially be a waste of a roster spot just for feel good purposes, and if we bring back Dudz there isn’t enough room for two of those types of players. Dudley actually provides more value too because his size still allows him to chip in and play some 4 or small ball 5 in emergencies.

My vote to fill out the roster is still Avery Bradley, Wes, and Dudley
