Simmons has no leverage but smart guy. Why learn how to shoot when you can go to the team with two of the best shooters.

Damn. My sources are telling me that this late breaking development regarding Hield’s nationality is why talks have fallen apart.

Look next to Rob to use his American ties to recruit another star player also from America… Kevin Durant!

Okay… I’m gonna let this joke die lol. Going back to the original comment though about Schröder and Dirk, I looked into it and it seems they have played some international ball together, and Dirk had been very vocally supportive of Schröder early in his career. Even saw something about Dirk supporting a clothing line from Schröder and rocking his outfits.

It’s not much… but damn it, I want Schröder S&T’d for SOMETHING lol, so I’m going to keep reaching to keep the hope alive until something happens :D

Agree with all of this, and yes. We are the Los Angeles Pacers this season. I could understand if we were playing 30 million above the tax line for the last decade, contending every single year and Jeanie decided to try and save a little money by not resigning Caruso. But We haven't. We've gone into most offseasons for the last 10 years under the cap......all while still having that sweet, sweet Time Warner deal.

right; with our primary competitors clearly not caring at all about the finances in the short term. i might feel differently if nobody else was willing to venture deep into the tax.

we should be interested in funneling him away from western playoff teams and philly/bkn, imo. dude's going to have the world's biggest chip on his shoulder next year. rather not see him on the other side of a playoff series.

Eh. He'll probably be out with the Delta variant anyway.

lol. honestly, part of me thinks we should let him walk because the cap space we used to sign danny green was simply cursed and anything purchased downstream shall just prolong the misery.

I love AC Fresh and I hate to see him go for financial decisions but Jeanie and the Busses are not tech billionaires. Their income is the Lakers. They do not have those kind of deep pockets like GS and we all know it very well. I wouldn’t take a $40 million dollar tax hit for AC either if I were in their shoes. They are taking a $36 million hit for keeping THT and I’m good with that.

You think Kevin Love gets a buyout sometime this season.

I would’ve said no because he still has multiple years on his deal, but I thought Kemba did too.

So I could see it happening, and if it did, I imagine we’d be his first option. Return home and reunite with both Bron and Russ.

He is actually who I thought was being referred to in those O’Shea/RDR tweets yesterday.

I do question how much gas he has left in the tank, but another 4 who can space the floor couldn’t hurt.

Yes and he’d come here and the whole NBA would hate us even more.

Though not sure how much he has left, he looked really disinterested last season and pretty bad during the olympics exhibitions.

I think big guys who are disinterested tend to play way beneath their capabilities when they are stuck on bad teams. Look how bad Griffin was?? Everyone was saying he could NOT even dunk a ball anymore.

Nowitski and Schroeder share an affinity for mowing the lawn in these. That's their bond.
