A snippet from Arenas’ podcast showed up on my social media feed the other day. He was telling the story of Wizards MJ beating Kobe’s lakers by 1 point and telling Kobe “you can wear the shoes (he was sporting Jordan 8s), but you’ll never fill em.” Kobe got super serious and didn’t talk to teammates in practice for a week until he got his rematch…the game he dropped 42 in MJ in the first half.
I LOVE that stuff, but the social media s*** talking comes off as douchy sensitive KD stuff to me. But if I really think about it, it’s totally just “get off my lawn” stuff on my part…probably. MJ and Kobe woulda been doing the same stuff if they grew up in the social media age i tend to think.

M Night Shyamalan plot twist. It could be a former Laker who is known to work within the Laker's organization. What if Mr Rambis was Kurt Rambis? lol.

I think an us against everyone mentality is a great way to bond this team really quickly and I see nothing wrong with it. It also allows constructive criticism to encourage specific people to do better. This is something Jose Mourinho did very successfully in European football.

Russ doesn't pass and makes bad decisions. Lebron isn't what he use to be and doesn't defend. AD can't stay healthy and is soft. Monk & Nunn are minimum contracts and almost out of the league. THT is all lakers hype. Ellington, Dwight, Gasol & Ariza are old. Carmelo is washed and was never a winning player.

Use that as motivation and address the faults. Prove everyone wrong. It's an easy way to bond in my opinion.

This is the second rescinded offer from teams this year. I don’t remember seeing a lot of that in the past. It’s pretty crappy for the teams to do that unless the players don’t pass a physical.

This has always been my favorite theory. Kurt just hiding in plain sight.

I know some members wanted Danny back but I’m happy he’s not.

Read some speculation that maybe Dallas might be interested in a S&T for Schröder given the Dirk/Germany connection, but apparently not. LOL at the repeated use of the word “tough” in this tweet though

It’s possible some of the lack of interest is from becoming aware of from afar of the attitude he took coming here? Just a thought.

I’m glad to see Dennis hopefully learning a lesson here in humility. It’s pretty hilarious and totally deserved. But the fact that NO ONE might want him is bad if we can’t do something with him - sign and trade or TPE. There’s got to be some move we can make with him or at least I hope there is.

    Definitely tuff stuff.

And why should there be any special connection between Dirk and Schröder just because they're German?

Exactly. Similarly, my sources are telling me the Lakers have an inside track on Buddy Hield, due to his shared bond with Rob Pelinka over both being Americans :D

I sense some sarcasm in that description of Temecula, so now I need to rant about my hatred for Temecula … specifically because it tries so hard to act like a thriving metropolis! I often have to drive through there on the way to SD, and without fail there’s always an inordinate amount of traffic through Temecula. Trying to act like they’re LA or something.
