Uh… yes? Lol, the only rumors have been wishful thinking and a vague post from Ice Cube’s son. No legit reporters have suggested we’d be significantly overhauling the multi-team trade to get Hield or someone similar.

    Spot on @TIME

We don’t know the exact identity of @Mr. Rambis , but he has provided the staff here with some compelling proof of his connections.

That said, and against my better judgement to even engage in this discussion, here are some facts Mr. Rambis has posted compared to the standard media reports, and the timeline of these posts:

    6E243224-C716-44EB-9E28-8630404D0817.jpeg

    All while Woj is saying…

    0CA27C7B-C558-4B17-966C-F23464C740F5.jpeg

Then Shams calls the Westbrook trade about 3 hr after Mr. Rambis said it’s done…

    6EE2DB2E-FF4F-44B3-AACE-EA581AFF1F8D.jpeg

Then Mr. Rambis describes the Kings trade flaming out and all of a sudden the Washington trade surprising everyone involved, which was confirmed later…

    5384CC49-0E3E-418D-8010-11D2D6F6D688.jpeg

    C6189FF8-0058-4A9B-B495-781B266D4FD5.jpeg

Then it comes out in the media…

    6979F9CD-F30B-4F25-8DD1-F9F5EEF43F73.jpeg

I say all this to say:

    A. Anybody can be wrong. Especially if you’re getting info second hand. Don’t bet your life on any insider info including the Woj’s and Sham’s of the world.

    B. Lakersball.com has no formal association with Mr. Rambis. He’s just nice enough to post when he sees fit and we appreciate it.

    C. If he was just guessing about this whole Westbrook trade and how it went down, I’d like him to give me some Lotto numbers because he must be clairvoyant.

He is allowing outside noise into his head. His energy would be better spent on connecting with his new teammates and leading them.

The criticism is valid and it comes with the territory of being a great player with a great franchise. He needs to get over what media/fans say and just go lead the team on and off the court.

More is caught than taught. He needs to focus on improving his shortcomings like jumpshots, post game footwork and free throw shooting so that his talented teammates would do the same and work on their weaknesses.

Less talking and more action needed from the King. Heavy roster turnover with handpicked players to suit the King's playing style. Put up or shut up time.

His biggest character flaw as a professional athlete has been his caring too much about what others think, “check my stats” mentality

No offense, but this is an awful take. He’s been to 10 finals, he can do and say whatever tf he wants.

He is an incredibly accomplished player and all the respect to him. The heat he gets is warranted too. Both things can be true.

Very interested to see Lebron grow as a leader as he manages very talented HOF teammates but gigantic egos like Melo and Westbrook

Was about to post the same thing. He can be a sensitive-Susie AND still deliver the goods. The two aren’t mutually exclusive.

i said in another thread that i liked it. when you've accomplished as much as he has, sometimes you have to invent challenges.

wasn't that, like, mj's entire career according to him?

It takes 5 seconds to write a tweet. That doesn’t mean he’s not putting in the work to develop his game… the two aren’t mutually exclusive. Given his track record, we know that he IS putting in the work.

Always a pet peeve of mine when people act like players aren’t allowed to have any social media activity, that they need to shut up and spend 100% of their time in the gym.

On the content of the post, if you’re acknowledging how incredibly accomplished he is… maybe we shouldn’t presume to know the most effective way he should frame his psyche and leadership. He’s been this way his whole career. Using bulletin board material to motivate himself and his team. Kobe often did the same.

I’ll concede he does and says a lot of things that warrant the hate. This tweet isn’t one of them, and trying to use it to psychoanalyze him seems strange to me…
