I’m confused how this works. Is this good for us, or is this something more along the lines that we COULD get lucky here with little downside? At worst the two go to South Bay and we develop them for later like Caruso and THT?

Got to thinking about the DD rumor...I think there's a very very slim chance he takes under $6m. BUT what if that's why Bron talked to him. Not as a backup plan if we didn't get Westbrook, but if he planned on him being apart of that team all along.

Bron can put him in Space Jam 2 and his endorsement deals as a Laker can makeup for difference.

Unlikely and he's not shooter, but you can't turn that level of talent down. You put those 4 together and you have any shooter alive willing to come over for the min. Everyone from Reggie, Ray Allen, Korver, Redick, Ellington, Sam Perkins... you name it.

There was A LOT in that B/R rumor mill article this morning. I'll touch on some of the stuff that hasn't been discussed yet...

They're trying to give Beal two friends with KCP and Dinwiddie. I wonder how big this trade is going to get by next week. Dinwiddie's decision could also take an option away from DS if he doesn't go to DC or stay with the Nets. Whoever misses on Lowry will throw that money at him.

$36m is a hard number to say no to. Even if he’d rather play in Miami or Dallas. $36m!...

I think CJ for Siakam would be interesting. Not better for Dame, but interesting.

No clue what Morey's plan is. I don't think the deals get better now that the draft is over. Teams (other than OKC) have fewer tradeable assets now that they've converted those picks into players.

That number for Ball was already posted, but I'm more interested in why Rose would want to go back. He was king of NY at times during the playoffs. I know Chicago is home. If he wants to go back, it's not because of basketball reasons.

Odd. They can have DS if they want.

      • No surprise. $20m over 2 is a lot at his age, though.

        • Can't see Oubre playing for Pop. McBuckets should (won't) consider a paycut and come here. Lou Will must really like them wings.

Don't think JJ travels that far from the East Coast at this point, but who knows.

    4 team trade!

Lakers get: Westbrook, Hield, and Bagley

Wizards get: Kuzma (Dinwiddie), KCP, Harrell, and #22 (Holiday)

Kings get: Markaanan deal starting at 18 million (They were willing to take Kuzma. Markaanan is younger, taller, and better.), Caruso deal starting at 9 million (They were willing to take KCP. Kind of similar to KCP, but younger and better defense.) Kings also get Lakers first-round pick in 2026.

Bulls get: Shroeder (They just have to trade Markaanan. Bulls could use their cap space to sign other players.) Bulls also get Wizards second-round picks in 2024 and 2028. Lakers also attach one of their future seconds.

As much as I love Derozan, it may be best to bolster the bench with 3 D players, Lakers already have 2 great play makers in Lebron and Westbrook, I would hate to sacrifice Caruso if DD comes on board.

Like I said with the Mills rumor earlier, I think that's an awful use of the MLE. Same for Dragic. If we lose AC, that changes. But right now, I'm not going after a PG who costs more than the min.

Out of the available shooters, Ellington is easily the most attainable.

I'd be shocked if Melo wasn't on our roster at 6:01 Monday evening.

Not sure how much Iggy or Ariza have left, but both have ties to either us or those in the organization. Shouldn't be a hard sell for a situational defender. Jeff Green definitely has more then them in the tank but will have more options too.

I'd take D12 back. He just needs to be smarter this free agency.

And guys, the most expensive players on your team don't have to be the ones who hit 3's...

The Bucks just won the title with Greek, Middleton, Jrue going 30/95 from deep in the Finals. 31.6%.

Even with that they finished at 35% for the series, and the Suns marginally bested that at 38%. It's overblown.

We need to look into Raul Neto. Not sure what his market is though.

Please sign Eagle and THT so I don’t have to see people wanted to throw them into trades.

Getting Rudy Gay would make Lakers Nation very happy.

    The headlines can write themselves...

    LA gets Gay.

    Gay to LA.

    Gay comes to LA.

    And my personal favorite...

Lakers take Gay away from SA.

Demarr as the 6th man would be lethal. Lebron would play 25 min a game all year.
