I'd prefer Dinwiddie to Westbrook. I also like his scenario where we get Dinwiddie, and keep KCP, AC and THT. Those four give us a very nice backcourt rotation.

This quote below from Kief is recent after the season ended. He doesn’t seem to be saying at all that he needs more money if the Lakers want him back again. He likes it here, and crazy as it sounded last year …. maybe he and Marcus really do pool the money they make?

DS sign and trade with Kuz and opt in Trez for Westbrook works as per the article and has been floated since the start of the rumor. If Washington will take the deal it’s a no brainer. You can still sign AC and THT. We get our third superstar and we keep our guard rotation. To me that’s way better than Dinwiddie coming off injury. It’s plan A all the way to me.

    Latest rumors from B/R

Jazz looking to shed $ so they can keep Conley
Gordon, Bledsoe, and Turner being shopped around
And this is really nothing new, more of the same regarding our pursuit of another playmaker, namely Russ

Shams with the latest on several rumors

    Beal
    - Raptors are targeting Jarrett Allen
    - Mavs want to keep Tim Hardaway Jr
-Barton and Nuggets will likely reach a deal for him to stay
    - Rockets are dangling Gordon + pick to move up
-NO and Charlotte are interested in trading for Turner (he'd be nice next to Zion)
    - James Ennis will receive a lot of interest from contending teams

    Now to the Lakers stuff...
3rd star is the goal. Also discussed Kuz for Hield
We can't afford CP3 and the Suns won't help us

Just coming to post the Laker stuff.

    Hield would address shooting.

I honestly never put much stock in Paul coming here.

He'd be vulnerable guarding the pick and roll, but they would have to pick him up at halfcourt. :Dannygreenonfire3:

Hield's contract scares me. He isnt the shooter people make him out to be. He is barely 40% for his career from three, and his percentage from inside the arc is downright abysmal. And he's 28 at this point, so he is what he is at this point.

Not to mention that you need to take 2 percentage points off his three percentage since hes a Laker.

lakers claiming folks calling on kuz, others claiming lakers desperately shopping their guys. blah blah.

morey and his proteges are all really good at media manipulation. eric gordon has 3 more years left at 18+ per (partial guarantee on last year), he's 32, and he's coming off kind of a bad year. plus, he has a pretty extensive injury history. and houston's going to use him to move up?

I don’t love Heild but I’m guessing LeBron and company think they can make it work.

Also it’s clear that no one in power, from the players to the staff, thinks they can run it back with the same group. To the point that cap flexibility isn’t as high of a priority at this point.

Cap flexibility kind of died the second we signed KCP and Kuzma to long-term deals. I think we are committed to playing musical chairs around Lebron and AD for the next 3 seasons. THT is honestly our only hope. If he becomes a star, we are in business. If he's just a good starter, then we probably are done for a few years. This next season will likely be our last, best shot. Eventually Father Time will beat Lebron.
