Kawai is toast. So r the Clippers. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving bunch.

isn’t this like their 15 min of fame? I mean KL signed a 3 yr deal and after next yr he is gone . Media acts like Clippers are gonna be relevant for yrs to come .

This time it wasn't their fault. Kawhi is hurt. Had he not been hurt, they likely best the Suns. Clippers karma, luck, jinx, life. Whatever you want to call it.

Well that answers that, it's severe enough that either Kawhi's camp (has history with Spurs of this kind of thing in the playoffs) or Clippers (contract decisions coming up both sides) .... don't want to risk it. I don't think they can afford to go down 3 games to none.

Respectfully, you don't know for fact any of that. And they have been kicking the Laker's a** in regular season for 7 years, with no chance to meet in the playoffs our fault 6 of them until last year. So hardly 15 minutes. I truly thought they were done after their epic 2nd round choke last playoffs. Ballmer was out for bear and wanted to blow up the team except his stars. But cooler heads prevailed and somehow they managed to come back stronger this year. All that said .... eff them all the way to Inglewood and hope they're forever cursed. Can't believe Ballmer bought the Forum to get past the legal hangup, only to me then reading news he's now going to tear it down? Azoff just finished remodeling it to turn it into a premiere concert arena to today's standards. But that's an iconic structure in L.A. with its Lakers championship history.

i'm not sure the clips won't win game 3 anyway, tbh. they've been close without leonard, and the suns will definitely relax with paul back, imo.

and i'm also not sure where the clips are headed, long-term. they have two bona fide stars and very competitive and deep-pocketed owner who stays out of management's way. the question is whether kawhi and PG essentially choosing them over us is a blip or part of the new normal. if it's the latter, they're going nowhere.

Only reason they have been beating the Lakers the last decade was because a gutless, scumbag, piece of s*** commissioner stole the player coming to the Lakers and gave it to the scumbag piece of garbage, racist owners Clippers.

Tired of hearing this garbage. 1 title to ZERO. Even with all that. Clippers haven't done jack s*** and never will. Regular season games mean d***.

He also weathered a tragedy involving his wife passing off a car crash, showed poise and grace. Always respected him...

I’m actually not sure the Suns do relax, they more than any other team smell blood in the water. As soon as they saw us hurt they didn’t relax, they stepped on our throats. And they flat out swept Denver with Jokic doing all he could. Booker is playing out of his mind and I think Chris Paul senses it’s finally his turn to win. I would not be surprised if they win game 3 and then maybe relax a bit in game 4. Or maybe that’s partially wishful thinking because I’m a Clippers hater. :giggle:

The Clippers aren’t beating the Suns in a 7 game series. Just not happening. If CP3 does come back for game 3 I think the Suns will sweep. PG is a choker and the Clippers can’t help but clip. Kawhi is not coming back to save them.

The real question is how many more seasons does Kawhi even have left? He's basically being held together by old chewing gum and chicken wire. If you're the Clippers and Kawhi opts out for a 3-4 year deal, do you give it to him?

yes. the last thing ballmer needs is for his superstar to leave right before his team starts playing in that new arena

this is the fascinating question, especially if kawhi doesn't return in the playoffs this year. what's all the rest for if he's going to fall apart any time he plays 20 consecutive games (chris paul has been the same story for years, too, btw)? i've talked about it since before he jilted us--dude barely made it through that toronto title (he didn't look that good in the finals, he was just paying against the green knight from monty python at that point). he's just not durable at all. our fans all hate AD and love him, though...

but let's say the clippers are privately concerned. when uncle dennis comes and threatens that kawhi is going to sign with...miami or someone...maybe they just concoct a story in which it looks like he just wants to leave so that they don't have withhold the 5-year offer. do kawhi's people publicly state that if the clips offer the full five-year max, he plans to take the 4-year from miami? do the clips then say, "see, he's just trying to get out".

    will be interesting to watch.

KL will bail on clippers just like he bailed on Toronto ... if KL can’t deliver a title for the clippers he will leave ... I highly doubt it KL found his Home in Clippers jersey..

Players sign with CLIPPERS to stick it to the LAKERS... they don’t really stick around..: most superstars that sign with clippers are rentals ...
