Snyder is a good regular season head coach.

He just can't adjust in the POs.

Lue did, and he deserves credit.

    Top 5, IMO.

And they did this without Kawhi.

utah did it without conley and with mitchell at half speed.

lue basically did what doc rivers did. you think the version of utah the clips just beat was as good as the denver team that beat them last year? i do not.

can't hate on what the clippers did. everyone stepped up their game with kawhi out and mann played the game of his life. that's how its done

now compare that to how the lakers played with their superstar out in round 1

I think if Lue were coaching the Clips last year they beat Denver.

    Doc is extremely overrated.

i guess. i don't think cranjis is 100% right all the time, though.

further, his own tweet basically states that he was slow to adjust and it ignores that utah's roster essentially did not allow for a counter adjustment. someone said something like playing bojan at the 5, and with the way their guards were getting roasted, it would have been a parade to the bucket.

snyder's hands were tied, imo. he's not a regular season coach; he has a regular season roster that's not very flexible. sort of like the MDA houston teams.

further, the story today is him being outcoached, but none of these smarties picked utah as a 1 seed.

lue got clowned in round 1, too, and lucked out that nobody on dallas terance mann-ed him.

Blowing a 25 point lead in the second half by the team with the best record in the NBA, is a choke job. Clippers without their best player as well. I would be sick as a Jazz fan.

Has anyone seen an update or confirmation on Kawhi’s injury? I read that they thought it might be an Achilles but have t seen anything since.

I’m having strong feelings of hate for the Clippers again. If the Nets make the finals I’m starting to feel like I’ll root for them, the Clippers feel like the C Bags west, a Clippers title changes things, I don’t want it.

how exactly would it change things? the clippers are already an attractive FA destination and they've been a consistent playoff contender for years now

it's not like the lakers are competing against them for titles won or anything like that

Because once a curse is broken it’s broken. Look at the Sox and Cubs, jokes of teams that you just knew would always choke at some point. You always knew somehow some miracle would happen and you’d win against them even if down. That’s the Clippers right now, but if they win, curse is broken, they’ll always believe they can win. As of now they have an entire franchise history of losing on their shoulders, it weighs on them in game 7s, it weighs on them when up even 3-1, and in the finals it will weigh on them to almost the point of crushing, and it must continue to be that way, or the world will change. A world where you can say World Champion Los Angeles Clippers is not one I look forward to. At least with the Nets it’s just one more weak Durant title, and so far Harden isn’t even really doing anything.

chokers sure, but i wouldn't call the clippers a "cursed team." the red sox and cubs had extremely long droughts in between titles. the clippers have just been a loser franchise for their entire history minus the last decade. they probably would've made it out of the second round in 2020 too if they hadn't been coached by one of the biggest chokers in NBA history

if the lakers were still in the basement, a clippers title would hurt really bad. kind of like a nail in the coffin type of thing. but that's not the case at all

They’re cursed, in the non woo/silly way, they’re cursed because something goes wrong, or the weight of it all gets to them. There’s articles on it, how the C Bags and Clippers switched franchises, hell there’s even a book called The Curse. Articles like this show the extent of it as well

well like i said, the clippers literally did nothing throughout their entire history until they brought in chris paul

the lob city teams were notorious chokers. not really surprising considering paul's playoff track record (until now) and the guy who was coaching those teams. it's no coincidence that they finally advanced to the WCF this year after dumping doc. to me, a "cursed" team is one that endures decades and decades of choking and heartbreak. the clippers have only been good for a decade

Was he a top five coach after LeBron left Cleveland? When was he a top five head coach, exactly?

He's more right than he is wrong...

I just think more highly of Lue than you. That's cool

His spread pick in roll offense, his in game adjustments, his ability to dial up the right strategy is top level stuff.

    All good.

Skip Bayless has Kawhi connections considering they send him Kawhi shoes. He said he spoke to his source and confirmed that Kawhi very likely needs surgery and is out for the playoffs. I'm not sure if it's accurate but it's what Skip said on Undisputed.

They would be crazy to try to force Kawhi to play. He needs to take some time off and come back healthy instead of risking further injury. Basically, I said the same about AD - he should not have played that game against PHX.

If the injury is legit - don’t play if you’re not ready to play.
