I’ll start the rumor….Kidd turned down Portland because Dame told him, he’s coming to the Lakers.

Thoughts on Olynyk? He's a FA and I think a great fit with AD

People (not just here) like to hate him, but wherever he goes he competes, contributes, is tough and has a range of valuable skills we could use. The question which I don't know much about is what price do we get for him. I have the feeling he would want more than vet min. I see him as more valuable than our Morris twin. I always say he is like who they hoped Ryan Kelly would have been with a bigger body and more physicality (damn him with faint praise why don't I?).

Yes, of course. The guy can play, works hard, can stretch the floor. He can even make plays for others if need be. Quite a versatile player and, as you said - would work very well with AD and Bron.

Two players who will be available on the trade market this summer would be CJ McCollum (he is Portland’s biggest trade chip outside of Dame) and Buddy Hield (unhappy in Sacramento for awhile now).

Considering it was really apparent our weakness was outside shot making, would you guys trade Kuz+KCP for Hield?

I think Sacramento would entertain that deal but it would take more for CJ (maybe Kuz/KCP/THT or our #22 pick)

Buddy Hield averages $10M MORE per year than Kuz to play less D and score a few extra points on 40% shooting overall. He shoots 39% from 3, so chalk him up for 35% if he’s on the Lakers.

    Hard pass.

Kuz ended the season being worthless. He plays much better than the terrible season he had. Very tough to move him this off-season with his market value so down.

Hield would be a good add, he can get streaky. I would throw the dice, though he is not in my list of players I would target for a trade

A few extra points? Like the ones Kuz did not score in the playoffs?? We need 3 point shooting. Hield is way better then Kuz shooting the 3. Lebron needs someone he can kick the ball out to that will nail the 3 consistently.

Kuzma had two bad playoff runs. Does he need more time? Maybe. But unlikely things will change.

Except it wouldn’t just be Kuz for Hield, and spending $20M on Hield limits us elsewhere.

We need 3 point shooting and I’m not arguing against trading anyone besides AD + Lebron, but spending $20M+ on Buddy Hield is not the way to go.

Too bad we don't have Joe Harris for $17M, right?

That is a lot of money. I agree with your concern. We really have to get better 3 point shooters on this team. This team missed way too many clearly open shots. KCP is just too streaky to ever count on. He goes in significant slumps too often.

Reddick is going to play for a NY team. He's been on record saying that he doesn't want to move his family.

jj also looks about 1000 years old now. i think dallas picked him up hoping for peja 2011, and they couldn't even find a way to get him on the floor in the playoffs.
