3/50 would be a hard pill to shallow and I’m a huge AC fan.

I think he is around the $8 million range. Where is the 3/50 coming from? Seth Curry got an $8 million per year deal and while they are completely different players, Seth's shooting is one of the best in the league. Tough to see AC getting more than $8-10. He's a very good role player so if he wants to get some money, Lakers aren't probably the best team for him.

LOL that is way too much for him. I know some worship at the altar of AC, but 3/50 lol

Dall needs to extend Hardaway, if they pay ac that much lets do a double snt for their Richardson

I don’t think abeer is suggesting we should actually pay that much for AC, but Dallas hasn’t been too successful with free agents. The idea for them would be to weaken us and get a good defensive guard, or force us to pay a lot to keep a role player.

Lakers need a 3rd star. I couldn't give a hoot about anyone else outside AD and Lebron. Sorry, ruthless, but the 3rd star would elevate the stress during the regular season and be essential in the playoffs. You can fill the other 12 spots with whatever.

If someone is paying Caruso 3/50, let him go.
He is an elite defender but doesn't deserve that much. I would give 50m for 5y, I think the max I would go for him is 10 a year

I love AC. He does what it takes and plays super hard. I mean the guy was the second highest rated defender in the league! And he improved his 3 point shot in a big way. he plays great with Lebron. He should be our starting PG next year. Let DS go and keep him and THT. It’s a no brainer. Find a vet PG to handle the ball off the bench when Lebron sits.

I don't think a vet PG will be happy about playing behind Eagle. Don't ask me why but these guys are sensitive af.

Caruso is a decent backup that's about it. He doesn't shoot well, isn't the best passer and doesn't have that strong of a dribble. He is a decent combo guard, he can do a lot of things in spots, but his effectiveness diminishes with extended minutes.

I don't know if we need a third star so to speak, we do need a third guy that is capable of scoring without being dependent on James or Davis to be able to do so.

That's the closest thing to a somewhat attainable option. But I think we missed our shot last summer. He showed much better range this year on his shot and I think as a result his trade value shot up (not that he would've been cheap to begin with).

What's a star? I think we would be fine with a guy like Dinwiddie, Rose, Derozan, those guys aren't "stars".

A star is a guy that you can gameplan around and then go out and win games with. There aren't a lot of stars available. A third scorer doesn't have to be a star.

    exactly

    MPJ isn't a star. tobias harris isn't a star. ayton isn't a star

but all three of those guys are legit third options who play a big part in helping their team win. this lakers team doesn't have that. guys like kuzma, caruso, KCP, harrell, etc are all way too inconsistent

I totally agree with this. I'd love to have Bradley Beal, but I don't think that is realistic, and I don't believe that getting a guy of that caliber, is the only thing that would work for us.

The Lakers don't have the assets or the cap space to get a 3rd star.
Ideally 3 point shooting PF who can play defense like Cam Johsnon or Collins would be ideal as well but even these guys are out of the Lakers abilities to get

However, getting a semi-star like Derozan to replace Kuzma minutes and more shooting like Graham would do wonder though
