    Doesn’t Beal have an opt out after next year? We need him to pull an AD and let everyone know he’s going to sign with the Lakers and there’s no changing his mind. That’s the only way we could possibly put together a package for him.

    who's going to offer that? i guess i could see the suns gambling, but does anyone else want to tie up cap for three years like that on a guy that generally can't be available when the season ends?

    seems like agent posturing maybe? but hey, if someone will give it to him, he should take it!

    There’s always at least one dumb, desperate (or both) team out there. That was us with Mozgov and Deng. I don’t know has the money to offer, possibly the Knicks? That would kill Schröder’s payday, and I’d laugh.

    well, phx for one, right? as soon as he's gone, they miss the playoffs again. that's serious leverage. could see dallas, chicago, ny all considering it, but i agree...it's unlikely anyone commits for three years. and 44 million for one year is a lot, so even if a team was willing to go 2 years, does paul really get much out of it? it has to be for 75-100 million to make turning down 44 for one year worth it, i'd think. wonder if he'll get 2/75 as a compromise from phx?
