Experts told us PG and Kawhi were the best 2/3 defensive combo since MJ and Pippen and asked us who is going to defend on the Lakers besides Danny Green in July 2019. :Vogelshocked::Vogelshocked::Vogelshocked:
Worse is Tye Lue's quote, maybe the dumbest quote I've heard since "practice". Actually saying that winning 2 on the road was no big deal and basically saying let's see if they can go home and do that. Ah Tye, think you got it backward there little buddy. Considering the Slippers were worse on the road than at home this year and Dallas were not, it's even odder a comment. Let's not forget they clearly tanked vs Houston and OKC in order to face the Mavericks. Gotta love karma. Clips went 4-6 last ten games to finish the season, way to prep your guys for the playoffs Tye..and we wanted this guy?
Kawhi Leonard had a huge choice to make..... LeBron James and Anthony Davis or Paul George and Patrick Beverley lol
lol, he's not wrong...i said the same after game 1, but dallas...did it again. even more! seriously, shooting over 50% from three on high volume attempts is just nearly impossible to beat. so lue is correct to expect that number to drop. but he sure does sound like a petulant child, which fits pretty well with the whole clippers vibe, tbh. nobody owes you clowns anything. your end-of-season tanking was shameful, and now you've got luka. you probably STILL win this series, but ol' calcified leg is going to get some city miles on him in the process. btw, this is two seasons running where i've been told (often by some of our own fans) how their offseason was so much better than ours and their coach is so much better, etc. no and no. they have two very talented wings, one of whom is kind of a sissy, it turns out, and otherwise don't have a lot of talent, nor do they do much in the way of creativity with said talent. so yeah, the mavs probably put up some stinkers shooting and the clips get back in it and win the series, but acting like that's their only problem is silliness. THIS IS THE TEAM YOU TANKED FOR!
right. no concerns. now i know you're lying. lucky for them dallas is somehow a consistently terrible home team.
probably to slow, Zu is getting killed almost every time hes switched onto Luka and clips wont stop switching everything which makes it even easier for Luka
Kawhi made a horrible mistake. He's a great player, alright, but he's not a leader. He had a good team culture in Toronto, and he had an offer from us, where he can be exactly what he is: a versatile player, good defender, shooter, scorer. No pressure to be something he's not. But no, he chooses that loser franchise and PG as his teammate. I don't understand that at all. People were thinking that past his prime Rondo will somehow turn the team around, as if he had enough left in the tank to change team culture. He was able to play well for the Lakers, because LeBron is the best leader in basketball who Rondo respects. But no one on the Clippers has that kind of knowledge that Rondo can recognize and respect. Besides, Rajon can't play a ton of minutes anyway. Leadership, chemistry, team culture - those things are more important than anything else. Then you have good management, coaching team, superstars, playoff experience etc.
Rondo is such an interesting character: I mean there are 3 times now (Boston, Chi, LAL) where he clearly had a huge positive impact and we can pretty much say that two of those times the teams wouldn't have won a title w/o him. Seems like you need dudes he respects (Boston trio, Wade, Lebron) so that he can get things off his chest but also keep him in line. The thing is he's got a real good basketball brain and yeah I'd be pissed if I was him and he didn't get a shot at Luka in the 4th
he's also been a nightmare in more than one stop. dallas had to basically suspend him in the playoffs. and there really haven't been culture problems aside from rondo there. he's a peculiar and prickly dude. what's he yelling at ibaka for? dude played like 6 minutes, right?
