I need to consciously remind myself to think like this ... because it’s really difficult not to get too excited and giddy imagining the prospect of the Clips losing their series
I’m preparing myself for a Game 1 or Game 2 loss cuz I’m a pessimist and that’s what these Lakers do. Like they need a punch in the mouth every series to knuckle up.
I'll admit that even if we don't win this year, I'll take a lot of pleasure to see anyone but the Clippers or Nets winning it.
I do believe the Clippers will win the series as they’re the better team, BUT, the Mavs took them to 6 games in last first round too without Porzingis and with Luka being injured a few games in. So, yeah, I don’t think it’ll be easy. How crazy would it be if they did lose though? The amazing Lakers/Clippers matchup everyone thought was the next WCF matchup for at least a few years in a row will have yet to happen and Kawhi and PG will be free to opt out and ditch that cursed franchise.
PG already took Ballmer’s dirty money and extended. But Snake certainly wouldn’t be above going elsewhere. There were some Warriors rumblings they might go after him though don’t know how.
i disagree, Dall should've beaten them last yr if their team was healthy, Luka is spreading clips def to pieces, kawahi nor pg can stop him, I took Dall before the series and Im sticking with them barring injury
clips are still gonna win the series, but hopefully the mavs wear them down as much as they can and get it to 7 games
agreed. anyone but those two is fine by me. obviously, i want the lakers to repeat, but nets/clippers...ick. speaking of: how did bkn hold boston to 94 points? i don't like that. that team shouldn't be able to hold anyone to 94.
