I disagree given the dynamic of both teams .

I think it's encouraging to win this game given the facts:

    - our starting 5 didn't play a meaningful game since AD went down , 3 months ago

    - Bron , AD , Schroder just came back from "injuries"

    - Vogel hasn't figured the rotations out

    - Warriors are on a roll , are playing like a 4th seed in May AND have a Top 2 player in the NBA

Refs, ESPN crew, then arguing it wasn’t flagrant when they usually want to hand out flagrants like free samples at Costco. Also Schröder, soon as he came in we tanked, he can’t pass, he can’t shoot, he missed layups constantly, such an overrated player other than his defense and energy. Vogel had some pretty awful lineups overall though, no way Wes should have sat that long.

yeah, AD still isn't a great passer out of the double team, but...you have to give him a chance. tell everyone on the court to pretend he's lebron or marc gasol and act accordingly.

Sounded like there were more Warriors fans than Lakers fans at the game last night.

DS n Drummond arent playoff starting material, give Marc some burn when Bron is sitting, we need more play making. Trez gona end up sitting like last yr, his game just not built for playoffs

This seems so elementary and plain common sense. Cranjis’s post above I’m sure pisses most of us off to read it. Frank’s clearly a savant with defense to have us finish 1st in the entire NBA ratings wise with the severely crippled team we had this year and practices almost non existent. Seriously what do Kidd and Hollins contribute on the offensive side, if that’s not Vogel’s strength? He sure didn’t have them in Indy either to help with the defense.

Back to Gasol .... just having him on the floor immediately makes the entire offense flow so much better and be enjoyable to watch.

those 2 had terrible/bad offense team too when they were head coaches, Hollins from what I recall his time with Mem, the offense was ranked near the bottom during his tenure, Kidd teams were pretty medicore as well

The refs and national announcers with their anti-Lakers agendas were especially irritating last night as Weezy mentioned. Breen: "Oh Draymond Green went straight up vertical and Lebron ran himself into his arms (with his face, LOL!)." Yeah right, replay and Green completely comes down on Lebron's face with his arms - not vertical AT ALL. And Van Gumby, "That's not a flagrant foul!" Just ridiculous garbage. Same from Steve Javie. I couldn't stop swearing at the TV at that point. But all game long it was like that.

Van Gundy was so adamant on the poole missed dunk that it was Lebron foul, then when replay showed he just missed it Van Gundy "thats why im not a ref" lol...clown

I was really angry at Vangundy last night. He complained everytime a foul went for the Lakers. He just whines the whole game. I can't stand him. What the heck were they looking at on that flagrant foul by Green? He made no attempt to block the shot. He went right at Lebron's face. Such a Laker hater Vangundy is. He broadcasts like he hates everything about basketball.

Not a fan of TNT crew either, vs our own guys of course, and who are not homers typically ... but the ESPN/ABC crew sucks even worse.

except when it's about houston/harden. he's just a contrarian, and often in ways that are just completely wrong. but he's clearly committed to just disagreeing anyway.

when the lakers win titles, i sorta chuckle to myself thinking what guys like jvg are doing.

I didn’t think Drummond and Trez were the big problems in the game today. Drummond shot 5-7 with 9 rebounds in 19 minutes and Trez 4-5 with 3 rebounds in 15 minutes. Drummond in particular missed some passes but both hustled and did about what I expected them to do. Davis was terrible this game. Ayton fully outplayed him. Guy really needs to step up and impose his will. You’re a superstar, play like one.

No, they were not the problem. We had plenty of problems, but those guys actually played hard.

AD was out played period. That should not happen against someone who's playing his first playoff game. Ridiculous

this just isn't the lakers year. team is far too inconsistent

hopefully i'm wrong, but that's been the case ever since the injuries happened

This has been an issue going back to December. The more Schroder plays, the fewer shots in the paint for our Big 2 especially AD. Schroder doesn't fit.

But AD also deserves equal blame for not being aggressive
