i said it elsewhere, but it's very much the 2003-4 season again. injuries and distractions undermined what could have been a very good team. everyone will forget we were in 1st place when the injuries started. but we were, and we were the easy favorites. just bad luck.

    solomon hill = scott williams

feels more like 2011 to me though. start out strong and then collapse at the very end

03/04 & 2010/2011 squads had been to multiple finals and made many long runs so they get a pass in my book

These guys don't have as much mileage on them outside of Lebron so its hard to accept this losing.

One a side note...I think the league needs to change the rules. I get there's more freedom of movement and more up and down high octane offenses but every single franchise the last 3-4 years has experienced serious injuries to their stars due to the fast up and down nature of today's game. Its either a 3 point shot or hard attack and slashing to the rim. I remember Phil Jackson saying mid range game and post ups help manage his stars' legs

Am I the only one noticing from this year's roster .... a lot more mid range shots being taken, because they're there to be taken? Kobe would be proud I think.

We just can’t catch a break. Injuries, Covid, short off season. All of it is catching up to us now.

Adversity is perfect for the team to build some character and perseverance. They're going to need it for the playoffs. Might as well use these last 10 games to ramp it up and get ready

adversity can galvanize already functioning groups. we turned over some key pieces and lost our biggest cogs for most of the year. and i think you can't dismiss how the covid effects and seasonal disruptions have played into all this.

i'm just not very surprised by what's happening. most of the successful teams last year are struggling this year. lebron and AD can't afford to let it happen, but the smartest decision would be to sit them and cut losses.

i'll probably take a break from here when we bow out because i won't be able to handle the negativity. think about where we were two, three, five years ago, as fans. this is way better.

Interestingly enough, I think I'd enjoy watching our role players without Bron and AD right now. They would have won last two games. But, I understand we need to get them in game shape ASAP.

definitely. combined effect of deflating the other team because it's our b squad and guys on our side getting a chance to prove something. popovich perfected this art.

No Dennis - with Rondo, Dame, and CP3 coming up. Yikes.

is what it is. A 38-34 season and 8 seed (if we are lucky). AD needs to score 30 here and there, or else it will be over sooner.

Vogel almost cost us this game by pulling Gasol in the fourth. Joker had his way with Drummond and the Nuggets went on a 14-2 run.

C’mon it’s clear that to land Drummond Rob had to promise him he’d start and used to be his agent. For the good of the team and what puncher’s chance we might have left to repeat if we get healthy, Rob needs to fix this somehow with a heart to heart with Dre and Frank that unties Frank’s hands on subbing Dre out freely.
