I think so if he had been wanted and had a proper coach like Vogel rather than Scott and Luke. (I wanted Luke and expected him to be good).

 

He wasn't doing that in Europe. I guess he learns fast and sees what "works" in the NBA. Officiating is a joke for years now.

I dont know, i dont watch much NBA these days, not even the Lakers. But Bron, Embiid, Westbrook, Harden, Paulina comen to mind.

in fairness, he jumped in for the three shots after the ref called it on him for kcp--exact same move. it's a bad call they made both ways. and i don't recall a lot of plays where luka got harden calls--in part because nobody gets harden calls. he's literally the only guy who gets away with that.

also, to me it was quite clear that the lakers' gameplan--particularly in the second half--was to get extremely physical and muck up the game.

anyway, doncic isn't harden, imo. better player in pretty much all phases of the game, much less of a scammer.

 

At the start of the game it looked possibly intentional with Drummond cheap shotting Richardson’s smaller knee/barely above knee thigh area with his massive knee area. Was hopefully not intentional and only a moving screen the refs missed. Could have easily injured him with the hit from the side angle.

almost any shooter will get that foul not just Luka, not much different than the swing thru move when opponent are reaching and the offensive player is the one forcing the contact

i actually thought we got away with fouling brunson on a few drives, too. in short: i think we fouled a lot, and the refs called many of them. and i think we meant to.

no, kobe got the "unnatural movement" foul.

but the swing-through thing is definitely an example of how the league can and will step in and fix things, they just choose not to most of the time. kobe started swinging through, and that s*** was gone immediately. harden started side-jumping into 3pt attempts, and they bent over backwards to say it was ok. harden (really wade first) runs over retreating defenders, and they re-adjudicate "legal guarding position" to mean "out james harden's way".

it would be like if kobe's swingthrough weren't outlawed/downgraded, but instead was an automatic three shots or something.
