That's great and only fitting. Kobe was Mike's clone. Will never be another like either of them with their type of games, IMO. LBJ "may" wind up in the conversations as number 1 over Mike eventually by the end of his career. And of course some already have him there due to the sheer statistics and dominance of his game. Another championship or 2 would seal the argument.

1 would at the very least make it a tie. 2 would make it an undeniable argument in Bron's favor especially since he's most likely retiring as the #1 NBA scorer of all time.

Good, I was hoping for MJ or Jerry West to induct Kobe in the Hof

I wanted West or Shaq. West #1 for sure.

But for some reason Shaq doing it would feel right to me. Not sure he's the right.... personality (?) for the occasion, but he putting the bow on Kobe's career the way Kobe closed out games for them would be awesome. I feel like you'd definitely get raw emotion there.

Shaq? After all the crap he threw Kobe’s way and pettiness? You still see it today toward other players. He doesn’t deserve the honor. Jordan 100 times more perfect IMO.

Dude, nobody hated on Shaq more than me when all that BS came down, but the man has let it go. Both he and Kobe regret that they were unable to get past their differences at the time. He learned, he grew. I like Shaq now, he is pretty much a good human. You have to be able to forgive people at some point. Too much real hate in the world to hold on to all that.

But another idea would be for Pau Gasol to induct him.

I get that but Kobe had that bond forever with Jordan. Idolized him so much he grew up and literally became his doppelgänger with his game and they truly remained close and in contact after each retired. There was NO period like that for Mike to have to get over.

Apparently Kobe and Nike's contract is over since Kobe's estate didn't renew the deal... Buy your Kobe's now before they become super expensive on the blackmarket.

The Nike Kobe's will skyrocket, but the Estate will make Kobe gear more affordable for the masses without Nike's cut. Good for the fans and the Bryant family. Excited to see what happens.

I don't think it's that simple. Nike puts millions into product design ranging from how comfortable, durable, light, etc., the shoes are. NBA players wear Kobe's for a reason. They're simply one of the best bball shoes out there. I've tried Kyrie's and KD's but they're not as comfortable. So even though it seems Vanessa wants to push Kobe's products so everyone can get them, I wonder if the quality of the shoes will decline. I can understand Vanessa's standpoint. It's ridiculous how the shoes are being artificially manipulated by Nike to generate demand.

I bought 4 pairs 3 months ago. i have 6 others. Kobe and Nike were set to separate before Kobe died. Kobe was gonna create his own Mamba line.

I will wait and buy from the Mamba line! Personally, I wish the Bryants a ton of luck with this and will definitely support them!

Jeanie Buss stating that the CP3 trade didn't happen because New Orleans GM was making a deal while the league was still in lock-out that offseason and the other teams felt that they weren't able to make an offer because you're not supposed to make any trade proposals when there is a lock-out going on. David Stern was not aware of any deals being made and didn't give approval for the CP3 trade because at that time, he was technically the 'owner' of New Orleans. Jeanie believes that if the New Orleans executives (Dell Demps) had waited until the lock-out negotiations ended, the CP3 trade would have worked.

In other words, Dell Demps (ruined the CP3 trade and AD trade) is an idiot.

Personally I think this should've been the image on Nash's undeserving MVP trophy that year.

:Noddingyes: Still bothers me Nash won it because the voters hated Kobe. A person’s trophy case and legacy shouldn’t be lessened because you have a personal beef or don’t like their personality.
