he basically compares favorably (better d, not as good offense, net basically identical) to his much more expensive brother, too. particularly for the role we have for him.
Kieff is starting to be one of my fave players on the Lakers the past few years. Complete professional and stepped up his game when the Lakers needed it the most. I really didn't think he was capable of playing this well considering his minutes were up-and-down the entire season.
This, he’s been great since going from playing this game and not the next to starting to playing whatever minutes needed. He was huge for us last playoffs too, I expect him to be ready to do the same this season, total pro.
Crazy how these off-season signings that we thought were key at the time...ended up being A LOT more crucial than we could have ever imagined. Idk where we'd be if we didn't re-sign Kieff...he has been fantastic since everybody has gone down. Getting it done on both ends. Thanks Ballmer.
I think Rob spoke about this in a press conference. He said that he wanted the Lakers to be prepared for COVID and injuries affecting the players. Despite losing some games, Lakers were outmatched in almost every game since Bron has been out and have done really well competing out there. I don't know any team that could lose their two top superstar players and still play the way the Lakers have. Imagine if Clippers lost Kawhi and PG or if Utah lost Gobert and Donovan... meanwhile we lose two top five players and are still competing hard.
Even his mid range game is strong. He hit a couple Bron level difficulty ones tonight. He's been big time. Hard hat and lunch pail efforts.
Just a matter of getting opportunities and getting a much needed break at the ASG ( said it himself). Got to love how he said he didn't understand why he wasn't playing after being a key contributor in the playoffs BUT didn't make a bigger pb about it

This is why we need to prevent the play in . A full week of rest before the playoffs is much needed for everybody
this and not to mention with our injuries issues anything can happen in 1 gm series, we've seen multiple times the better team losing gm 1 of a 4gm series
