    Make him assistant GM formally and give him a raise for X amount of years roughly, if you have to to keep him from leaving. I loved his personality and demeanor in that TW Sportsnet feature they did on him. Good man! What better than a young Jerry West to take over when Mitch leaves. Not hyperbole. He loved this stuff and was around his dad and Mitch all his formative years in basketball.

    Yeah that TWC Sportnet feature was really well done and he does seem to have the perfect temperment to handle being a GM. Experience will surely not be his problem given his background and being the father or the LOGO, one of the Lakers best GMs ever

    Thanks. ROFY had posted that last year and it's a really great read about Ryan for anyone that hasn't yet. I doubt we have to worry about the Kings or anyone else snaking him. Lakers need to step up with a promotion to Assistant GM or something and more specifics on the time line if other offers come. Do not let this West get away.

    If he's really behind us drafting j clarkson then he's already doing well

    From what ive read he's being groomed to take over as our gm so lets hope he stays loyal to us.
