I think it mainly has to do with the fact these players are less involved in the offense playing with Lakers superstars than in their previous teams .

all these shooters we got or have gotten was doing same thing here other places, Green for example had a horrid % on wide open shots, he only upped his shooting % from 3s by like 1pt in philly, so its mostly on the players, DS for example only shot that respectable 38% from 3s that one season with okc, we should have expected this regression but disappointing non the less

Have not gotten an opportunity to watch the last two games, but three consecutive losses now with the last two being blowouts?
This is not good and is unacceptable I really hope we can make a move for Oladipo or some other player that can get this team back on track.

Man, it’s wild how a team can go from title contenders to can’t even beat the Pelicans with LeBron and AD out. I know our pieces are dependent on them to really work, but I thought Schröder and Trez would get some kind of 2 man game going without him, but he, not much of it and we can’t friggin shoot. Defense has really let us down though, probably because with Marc and AD out we... lack size. ;)

We're too small and Bron is what makes this team work.

lebron better not miss too much time or else missing the playoffs will become realistic

schroeder, harrell, and kuzma are just not capable of taking over games. doesn't help that no one can shoot to save their lives

I think there's a very real scenario in which Trezz drops 35+ and we win. But someone has to hit some 3s. Otherwise by the 4th consecutive trip with feeding him, they'll swarm him or jump the pass. Wes shot well for his standards, and Kuz went on a mini warm stretch but that was it.

If they haven't gotten it by now, it's not going to happen in the regular season. That's one of the biggest disappointments for me based on offseason expectations. And it's not on Trezz cause he showed across the hall that he can do that in his sleep. It's all on Dennis and Vogel, for whatever reason Frank isn't much of a fan. Last year we were begging for Bron/AD and Rondo/AD P&R action.

Starting to feel that Lebron might be the most valuable player in the history of the NBA. Never would have thought that with Magic and Bird being in the league.

How can you beat a team like ours shooting 37 3's, making almost half of them, especially when you shoot predominately 2s? Oh yeah, out-rebound the hell out of us. Huge disparity on the boards. We gotta get people busy pulling down boards. Thing is with AD and LBJ out and even Gasol out, it's easy for guys like Adams and Zion to push us around inside.

Worst thing is one of the very few winnable games is a b2b against the Cavs ..

Hopefully Warriors and Grizz will lose as many games as possible until AD and Bron come back .

This is who we are without Bron, so no surprise. Even with AD back, we're a .500 team at best.

i know this is the wmc, but...what were people expecting? how many wins would you expect a team whose best players are kuzma, schroder, and harrell to win across an entire season? 11? now imagine they've never even practiced as a unit and are playing teams that have. it's going to be a bloodbath.

any team missing its top two players is going to lose almost all of their games. we have to hope the opponent sleeps on us, which wasn't going to happen with the pelicans--who desperately need to make the playoffs and are staffed by disgruntled former players.

The Nets keep winning without Kyrie and KD. Beating top teams with just Harden.

Shows not only are they the heavy favorites, but what 3 superstars can do. Like with GS with KD, may be a wrap.

right. when we had just lebron, we won at a decent clip, too. zero all star teams lose games, period.

i think we're better than that with AD, but i'm in the minority, as apparently he sucks now (because he got injured winning us a title i guess?).

I was more concerned about the defense last night. We had 17 3s. Defense was bad 1 on 1 and rotating. Bron and Ad do more for our D than we often realize, I guess, plus rebounds and transition points.

BI going off reminded me of that PG game against us too. Would think that Kuz, Wes, etc. could do more in a series against either.

Anyway. If we trade Trez... Not sure I love that. Also not sure why someone like that can’t be an elite defender - more length and speed than Draymond and Tucker yet..

Agreed . It sucks though as the pleasure to watch our team has been taken away for several weeks .

I think the team is better than how they have been playing

    1) They're shocked and now have to NOT rely on AD/Bron

    2) Trade rumors

It's definitely messing with their head.

yeah, especially for the new guys. feel like DS and harrell's names in the trade rumors is problematic. i get why DS is in there, but harrell seems like a weird situation. the team getting him doesn't get any contract rights, so he's just salary filler.

I know players don't like hearing their name in trade rumors but I guess they understand most of it is just stuff made up or leverage used by others teams and agents .

The word " Lakers" is going to be mentioned in the majority of the rumors ...
