We need playmaking too, Cookie, and KCP does nothing off the dribble. Appreciate the shooting stats, but KCP can’t do any of what VO does to help take pressure of Bron, esp with AD out another month. And...VOs shooting would go up playing with Bron and AD.

Yeah but THT DOES give us that and the more time he gets the better he gets. Look at some of those passes, you could say he's maybe better than Schroeder as a passer already or at some point soon. We can't lose this kid on a hope and prayer that VO puts us over the top with all the stats and injury / availability strikes against him. That seems insane.

We have Dennis, AC and THT and even Marc if used correctly to help with playmaker. What we suck at is 3 point shooting, where KCP is much better then VO. That doesn’t take in account the automatic drop in three point percentage as soon as somebody puts on the purple and gold. I tend to look at trends and VO shooting has been going down for years. No way I’m getting sucked into the one year wonder stats, that weren’t even that good. When’s the last time someones shooting percentage went up playing for the Lakers? Are you willing to the chance that VO will actually be healthy for playoffs?

Yes, these same comments were made about 27 year old CP3. VO is a top 25 player.

    opinions vary.

And we had the “keep BI” and “keep Deangelo” debates too.

looking forward to a fun game tonight.

Dang man his stats sure don't show it. And BI and DeAngelo became all stars didn't they. Were either of them "overpowering" grown NBA players physically at 19 consistently, and with the remarkable skills he already possesses to go with the physicality and not even having man musculature yet?

What, when did Chris Paul come into the conversation? Are you saying that CP3 is more durable? In 16 years he has played 82 games once. He is a much better shooter then VO from both 2 and 3. He lead the league in assists his 3rd and 4th year in the league and again when he was 28 and 29. He lead the league in steals for 6 years. I HATE CP3 but VO isn’t remotely in his league.

When trades for him were possible many posters here and in CL raised durability issues, same with AD last year. I have seen VO play dozens of times, and with minimal talent. he is worth the risk. All I am saying.

If we lose to the Nets the next two years then holding THT - whom I like, a lot - will be questioned. Again, I am ok keeping him, but VO is the perfect 3rd star for this current window. Just my opinion. We will see.

???????? I have said repeatedly that some of our kids grew into allstars. But we would prefer AD to BI and Lonzo, right? Kuzma and KCP to Deangelo? CP3 to Bynum and Odum and Gasol? AD’s risk is showing now. But no regrets.

have you guys watched VO play? Against other top players? See how bad we were without Dennis? Anyway. Will be interesting the next 7 days.

I was saying he is NOT durable. Nor is AD. To your point about VO. Sometimes the risk is with it. : )

It’s worth the risks for SUPERSTARS which there is a handful of in the league. VO is not a superstar.

if Ds isnt part of trade there is no way we can afford to resign Vic n DS and maybe even AC (assuming tht is part of deal)

I was completely in favor of getting Dipo... from the Pacers. At that time, it's a roll of the dice and you're giving up less. With Houston’s ask, I don't consider him for a second. Also that Rockets team is sooo bad, it's tough to get a real sense of what he's currently capable of.

Just FYI, LeBron is assisting on 39.8% of his teammates baskets this year compared to 49.1% last year. We have lightened his load already.

I love Randle. Always have and I stuck up for him against those who didn’t here for all his time as a Laker. He was my favorite of the youngsters. Glad he’s doing so well now.

really don't see how lonzo would help the clippers out in any way. doesn't seem like he'd be a good fit alongside guys who constantly need the ball like kawhi and PG

Deep pockets Ballmer going all in with cap taxes next year? If somehow West pulls off another crazy 11th hour deal for him? Wait until LaVar from his backyard 30 miles away starts doing what LaVar does. Ballmer deserves him.

what are they giving up. obviously not PG or kawhi. not ibaka. what else does anyone want on that roster? 3 years and 50 million of marcus morris? luke "dnp cd" kennard?

    beverly? zubac?

lou has value--only to another contender, though.

how do they plan on getting one of the major pieces in the AD deal with what they have to offer?
