I'm pretty sure Weezy doesn't mean it, he's just taking the anti-jinx to a level never seen before.

as much as it would suck seeing harden and d'antoni win a ring, i'd still take that over having to put up with clippers "fans" saying "we run LA now" and talking about their one title to no end

Be glad Harden isn't a Clipper or a C bag!

Even as a joke, it offends me on a deep level. The only positive thing I will ever say about that team is they're not the C Bags.

Yes, but you have to see it from my perspective. For me, James Harden is if the C Bags were a person. I can’t have C Bags the person succeed, it can’t be allowed. The Clippers are just a nothing franchise that has won nothing. Hell, Kawhi and PG can leave after this season I think, after next season at most, and they’d be back to nothing again. If they win one ring they are the Raptors. Big whoop. One ring to 17, 12 if you don’t even want to count Minnesota for some reason. It’s not a contest, they aren’t a threat. James Harden is a threat to basketball itself. He is the reason guys like Trae Young shoot-dive into other players and get free throws. It makes me want to puke.

Good points Weezy but wow I'm really torn and tend to side with @D-Fish Man .... after the crap that went on with that franchise, Snake, Paula and Ballmer's clear-and-present-danger deep pockets last year. Give us Drummond and health or just health and Handy and staff working with Jones, and Lakers should have great chance to make the crappy option question moot.

Flop City Load Managers or Soften?
Let's just hope it doesn't come to that and we repeat as champions, and we can place this whole sordid conversation behind us.

I mean yeah, my whole point was that IF for some reason, some kind of injury or who knows, COVID protocols, we were to lose, and the Clippers faced the Nets, I would root for the Nets to lose because I physically cannot root for James Harden, my mind won’t let me. But I believe if healthy we will be in the Finals again, especially if we pick up some help. I’m hoping when AD returns he is rested, healed, and refreshed and goes on a tear.

Harden plays Jordan ball, one guy dominates the ball all the time. That's how MJ did it, the triangle offense was a fancy explanation for getting the ball to Jordan, so he could play one on one.

eh, if they a) come largely as boards we were likely to get anyway (see westbrook's rebounding in okc) and b) come at the expense of other areas (for drummond, that's generally been team defense, i think) they're not worth much.

i know i'm the one who said a player of his caliber getting cut loose at his age is unprecedented (and it is), but that does come with a big "why?" and the answer is that now two teams have decided his statistical production doesn't and won't help them win.
