Dennis is coming back against Portland right ?

Season could go south very quickly if we got some Covid cases with players coming back from holidays during the ASG ...but the "best" thing which could happen to our team is to get a break as the Spurs are getting

    Utah, Portland, GS, Phoenix, Sac.

Maybe a win or two. Maybe. Likely a 5 game skid.

Not having AD, Schroeder, a hobbled Kuzma and having Gasol is taking its toll.

Utah is playing great. Best team in the league so far this year.

But, but our defensive metrics are so much better with Marc as opposed to McGee/Howard last season. Haven’t you heard? Only positive tonight was at least the blowout loss held Lebron to only 27 minutes.

That and the moron ref, or clearly dirty and on the take , with perfect line of sight staring wide eyed right at the guy shoving Harrell in the back with both hands and not calling the foul.

    :swear:

refs have gotten better about it over time, but still allow a handful of players to lean in. to me, this is the biggest problem: rules aren't applied evenly.

except the block/charge/verticality stuff: that's just nba refs going rogue against the rule book pretty much all the time.

Takes a lot to piss me off these days. This sequence did it.

And I came into the game not really caring if we won or lost because all of our injuries. But to have our momentum to close the half stolen by BS like this is frustrating.

Absolutely trash officiating that the NBA should be ashamed of. Kinda hope public perception of Adam Silver starts to shift and he has to face some culpability for the game devolving under his watch, in large part to the officiating.

The 3rd was one of the worst officiated quarters we've had in awhile. Not just for us, s***ty for the Suns too. Booker grabbing at KC0's leg is not a basketball play. Easy flagrant. But Booker's ejection was weak. That's the type of scared whistles they make after several altercations and near fights when you're trying to make an example out of someone and reestablish order to the game. Only it wasn't that kind of game.

Then early in the 4th when AC gets hit in the head on the foul. To the letter of the law, that to could have been a flagrant.

Refs. Absolute GARBAGE. Reviewing flagrants every five minutes, missing obvious calls, they somehow simultaneously over-reffed this game and let it get away from them with all the chippiness and junk at the same time. Just horrendous viewing, truly awful, league needs to use this game as an example of how NOT to call a game. Also LOL at the Suns celebrating like they just won the title, I forgot teams do that, good for you Nader, you scored 8 points.

Yep awful reffing tonight. Worst I’ve seen this season.

We kind of blew this game though. 2nd half we should have taken over but we didn’t. They shot and defended well. We did both poorly. Bad loss.

I got an idea. Give the teams 5 time outs. Every time a player starts acting like a Karen for not getting a call, review the play and charge a timeout. No timeouts, no review. Play on.

The 3rd quarter was barely basketball. This might be the worst game I watched this season.

hmmm..i fully expected a loss in this one. they shot 55% from three, too. not your day.

to the point above: they better celebrate. we'll murder them at full strength, especially considering cp will be hobbled by year's end like pretty much always. phx ain't real. they know it.

I echo everyone else's sentiments. That flagrant call on KCP was weak. The reffing was atrocious all of the way around, for both teams. The flow of the game kept getting interrupted every 5 seconds to review incidental contact as possible flagrants. The refs took over the game and made it unwatchable.

This game was a long shot with all of the injuries but any entertainment was snatched away from us by the 3 blind mice.
