I am having a hard time believing Utah is as good as their record. ???? Will be very interested in playing them. We don't play them until the 24th. Clippers have better star players, no doubt.

clippers. i won't believe utah until they make the conference finals in the playoffs. they always disappoint there. houston just smashed them repeatedly in recent years when they shouldn't have, imo.

i thought dallas would be up there, but instead they're almost dead last. i thought houston would be back, but then harden demanded out. i really think it's the two LA teams alone at the top in terms of title shots, barring injuries.

I thought it was us two in the beginning of the season. Denver beat the Clips, but that was sort of a freak occurrence. Couple that with Denver losing a couple players, and Houston losing Harden and I though it was Lakers--Clippers------------------Nuggs-Blazers.

What’s the deal with Miami’s crappy record this year?

I think they have been dealing with a lot of COVID-related issues and injuries that have screwed their chemistry up.

On a side note, would you rather have Fred VanVleet or Schroder?

makes sense. and yes, it's comical that thibs is just collecting former players.

would have liked this trade before derrick rose made us lose to freaking detroit, though.

Hawks apparently see the Rondo signing as a failure and may look to trade him.

Quite funny how that has developed. I don't think Rondo has had any impact on that team as a leader or mentor to Trae.

Just like us for a lot less money with “regular season Rondo”.

yeah, rondo isn't for the regular season. he's a luxury. and he's temperamental. imagine having him with a young star instead of either a) young non-stars or b) veteran stars. trouble.

don't want to see him on nets or clippers, though.

It might be time to look at Jazz as being the Lakers biggest threat to reaching the Finals. Their roster is STACKED.

6 players scoring double-digits and all are shooting 40% from three
    DPOY in Gobert

    Conley
    Clarkson
    Ingles
    Bogdanovic
    Gobert
    Mitchell

They have a very good wing player in Royce O'Neal who can pretty much do a little bit of everything out there.

I think they're a bigger threat to the Lakers than the Clippers.

Yeah... no. There is noone on that roster that can guard Bron or AD. Marc would be much more instrumental against Gobert. Not afraid.

Jazz will get bounced by the Clippers or Lakers. Playing way above their heads.

yeah, i just can't believe in the jazz. they always disappoint in the playoffs. they also depend pretty heavily on conley, who's old and gets hurt a lot.

but if they stay as healthy as they've been, they might get the 1 seed.

Would love to see Utah and The Other L.A. Team face each other in the semis. An Ingles-George matchup would be a story in itself.

I think Utah is dangerous. Battle tested in many ways in recent playoff series against Denver, Houston, etc.

I respect any team that plays above it’s potential because it plays together and gels for energy and confidence to play harder than its opponents. The Pistons taught us that in 04. The Mavs in 11. And Miami for a couple games in the finals last year. Raptors against the injury-plagued Warriors, but against Philly before that.

Losing can harden and galvanize a team. Pistons in 88-89, Bulls teams, Lakers teams, Heat, Dream’s Rockets, Spurs, etc. They are capable. Will be interesting. I think Kobe’s death (I still cry every few weeks, whenever I hear Memories or When I See You Again on the radio) galvanized the team for an “edge” last year. I am so proud of them for that. What will do it this year? Paul George and Kyrie running their mouths?
