Really really curious what Lee Jenkins is (would appear to be) wasting his talent on for them these days.
^^^ Aside from a Sekou Smith passing retweet on Jan 26, not even posting on Twitter these days? https://twitter.com/ByLeeJenkins?lang=en
Beverly seems to be constantly hurt the last few years: I wouldn't be surprised if all those injuries catch up to him. They still got Jackson and Williams but those two (and Kennard) are real defensive liabilities. They're (healthy) starting 5 is I think as good as anybody else in the league but the lack of 2 way players off the bench seems like a real weakness. Definitely hurt against the Nets, Clips offense was strong but they didn't have anyone to throw at Irving w/o moving Kawhii and George away from Harden/KD
Again no Beverly and a PG is able to slice and dice them. I think they could have trouble with Schroeder if the Lakers feature him in iso. Kemba was able to get shots pretty easily in the 4th quarter similar to what Irving was able to do to them.
Question for long time Leonard watchers. Those were big games for them .... Nets and C Bags. How’s his (used to be acknowledged unreal, elite) defense looking these days? Is it “dagger to Clipper Fan’s stomach” trending at all?
He's still got great hands: quick and long reach. That being said he doesn't seem as good as he used to be in 1v1 situations but he's still very very good
right. jerry strung him along, and he wasn't smart enough to get anything in writing. still, though--the league can't simply ignore it, right? if this was the lakers, we'd be surrendering AD for second rounders to the knicks or something.
sounds to me like Jerry did nothing wrong, and this guys is a hustler with grandiose dreams based upon fantasy
clippers lost by a ton to memphis at full strength. wonder if they have a pack of fans who blame nic batum for every loss? SHOULDA KEPT HARRELL!
utah is wise to go full-out for the #1 seed, imo. 1. even if fans aren't there, they have a big HCA due to the altitude, and 2. it looks like the lakers and clippers will almost certainly be 2/3, which means if you make the conference finals, you've avoided both and they probably just beat each other up before you play them. meanwhile, you only had to play portland and like, gs or SA.
^ And then, when we beat them in the WCF, people will say we had an easy opponent, they are a regular season team and were never tested in the playoffs. Am I doing this right?
