i think we're already basically "impossible" to beat in a 7-game series if we're healthy. maybe the nets outscore us. but no way vegas picks someone else against us unless folks are hurt.

i use the "" because nobody is unbeatable, and you can play a s***ty series or have another team play out of their minds (like GS vs. dallas in 2008). last year, i had us just behind the bucks and clippers all year. this year, we're the team everyone else is just behind.

green, dwight, javale, avery vs. schroder, gasol, trez, matthews

it was great on paper AND all of those guys are better than the guys we had before. i mean, matthews has basically been green in that he's giving us nothing, i guess.

yeah, feel like i'm taking crazy pills.

ABC announcing crew sucks donkey balls. Overpaid, overconfident fat cats that think their banter and reduced size game screens for meaningless other visual crap while big plays go uncommented on in order to finish worthless thoughts in that stupid banter. Billy Mac and Stu can still call a game unbiased when opposition does something good .... but are 10x more enjoyable to listen to.

pre-wmc: atl looks like a loss to me. rondo, for whatever reason, LOVES playing former teams, and it's the last game of the road trip following a win over a key rival. i'm expecting flatness a la the detroit game, and atlanta isn't as bad as detroit.

i'm sure it will be marc gasol's fault.

Agreed. But I'd rather pickup Ariza, if we can convince OKC that they've hoarded enough picks. Rob needs to talk to his old client and get OKC to expedite that buyout. He's been there before. I trust him in the post season against the bigger wings. I still believe in Wes, I think he'll come through, but I'd like another option for the guys Kuz can't handle.

23 turnovers. Can’t do that. Luckily they had just as many.

    I miss Dwight.

There is no way OKC would have gotten all those offensive rebounds and layup lines to the rim with him still on the team

they were playing 5-out, dwight is unplayable against that. as is mcgee, before more sentimentals show up. did people forget that we couldn't play those guys in half of our playoff games?

you'd think we let bill russell go. and somehow still had the league's best defense.

We're a good D team despite Marc, not thanks to him. He's doing jack s*** on either end of the floor ;)
(eye test, never checked the numbers and stats) :D

I won't. He's one of the worst starting C's in the league and his numbers are probably pathetic. As long as we're winning though...

They had Horford who sometimes was at the 3 point line but he was also posting up. I get it Dwight was only helpful in some of the playoff rounds but your acting like he didn't make a difference in the regular season and he was huge in the regular season. The numbers and the eye test back that up easily (the Dwight/Lebron minus AD lineups were some of the best lineups the Lakers had last year). Games like this matter where we basically overuse Lebron.

i'm acting like we're 19-6 and better defensively than we were when we had the bill russell twins.

Felonious. You ignored the main premise - we are overusing LeBron. He would get many 4th quarters off in blowouts. Stats about full games mean nothing when considering his minutes in recent games. Giving up rebounds and second chance points keeps us in tighter games.

Remember how we overused Kobe to make the 8th seed??? Yeah. We need to control the glass better to preserve Bron and Ad. Marc and Kief offer nothing In that regard.

I saw us get abused on the defensive glass all game yesterday. If we still had dawite around, it would help, and having big men options reduces much of the regular season grind. One additional defense rebound, which dawite could have given us means we don't have to go to overtime, which spares Lebron minutes.

Yes in the playoffs, we went small at times depending on the matchup, but we were able to do that because we didn't have to rely on Ludabrow playing tons of center for the whole season. We were able to preserve Lebron's minutes during the regular season last year due to our big man depth, which we don't quite have this year.

At any rate, it's water under the bridge at this time. I would like us to pick up a serviceable big men somewhere.

Now it is sounding like AD may be dealing with a chronic continuing problem with his injuries.

Tendinosis, means or sometimes called chronic tendinitis, chronic tendinopathy, or chronic tendon injury, is damage to a tendon at a cellular level. It is thought to be caused by microtears in the connective tissue in and around the tendon, leading to an increase in tendon repair cells.

The chance of increasing problems with this are high. We need to rest him a lot more than we have been. That indicates to me that we need another big man to take up the slack. Trez can help but we need to rim protection to get us through the regular season. Hopefully AD will be ready for the playoffs.
