I just don't get it. This team just keeps getting better and it doesn't even look like they are trying. Those extra passes from everyone and being unselfish shows the team chemistry being developed already. Super impressive stuff. Haven't had this much fun watching basketball since we got Pau Gasol. LeBron playing 27 minutes, AD barely looking like he cares but when he gets the ball, is automatic... KCP can't miss from three. Yummy!

This team is rolling right now. It's a beautiful thing to see. Reminds me of the repeat Showtime team - just crushing everyone in their path.

You all wanna hear a crazy stat? If the Lakers repeat this year, they would have more repeat titles (4) than every NBA team since 2000 winning a title except the Spurs which would tie them.

Let me repeat that, har har. The Lakers would have more repeats than every NBA team then they have titles except for the Spurs which they tie. This with the Lakers getting destroyed by that midget (bleep) for almost a decade.

Has me wondering if this team would beat whichever was the best of the Kobe / Pau / Odom teams? I think it could. Who could guard this version of Lebron even except Kobe. But he would wind up worn down from it and then there’s AD. And the rest of this defensive and offensive depth. Fish on Schroder?  Bynum for the games he was healthy enough to contribute would be a problem. Biggest problem for those last champs would be Vogel putting the Eagle on Kobe to keep him locked up.

But thinking about fears we got smaller simply because of loss of McGee and Howard overlooks how huge we are with Gasol, LBJ, AD and the rest of good height, mature bodied athletes on this roster. Our bench against other teams’ benches sometimes like tonight against OKC looks like a college team vs a high school roster with skinny young players.

To be fair one had an engaged Artest which would be great for LBJ, Probably end up matching LO on AD, with Gasol on Gasol.

It would be a great thing to watch, no doubt about it.

Best part is - this team is built to withstand any injuries or COVID protocols. Rob Pelinka was so damn smart thinking about things like that...everybody is going to get their chance to eat - that's why this is going to work so well. I mean we're getting THT regular rotation minutes as result of not having KCP or Matthews or Caruso on some nights. I absolutely love it...we're winning while developing our young talent on the fly so that we can stay elite for years to come.

If I had a nice gif of championship-in-his-first-year-as-a-Laker-coach Frank I would post it here.

    :Magicwink:

Unbelievable what he does for our team defense.
