Our depth is insane. We've had 3 of our 5 guards out with injury at different times and haven't missed much from those positions.

    Schroeder/Caruso
    KCP/Matthews/THT

Any combination of two works out on the court... also helps to have playmaking of Lebron and Marc too

yeah, the guard rotation is stellar without having any stars. i'm starting to wonder if superstar guards are like superstar running backs in the nfl or something.

Still sitting on top of the NBA power rankings... we have improved somewhat lately. Our offense is ranked #4 in the league, defense is noticeably better at #3.

I didn't watch Lebron alot in Cleveland or Miami but saw a lot of his games on national tv. I have never seen him play this relaxed. His body language is the best I have ever seen. He knows he has the best team he has ever had and he has it for the next 3 years.

If Lebron is the Tom Brady of the NBA, he is going to end up with 6 or 7 titles before he retires.

Jovan Buha's latest with the Athletic has some interesting stats. It's worth the read, but here's some of the highlights...

Early net rating shows we made the right off season decisions...

Bron getting some rest and able to be a cutter again...
Bron having to do less of the table setter duties...
    D stats
Perimiter D has been an actual issue, unlike our front court. However, it can largely be chalked up to being without KCP and AC fur stretches
It's still a work in progress when Bron sits.
    We're raining 3s this season

I'm nervous and hoping that these Shroder and THT decisions don't muck up Lakers giving AC a decent enough offer to stay with them. If other teams are coming hard after THT they will be offering certainly not as much but still good money contracts to AC as well. Why I feel AC and THT ought to have priority over Schroder. Bigger, thicker, good players who will get better and better handling the ball alongside LeBron and AD, and are more lockdown type defenders against 1s, 2s and 3s ...... vs talented, speedy, lightweight, 6'1" guard. No offense Dennis. ;)

As long as we are competing for championships which we should be for the next few years at least we need to keep our promising young players. We can’t really go out and replace them through FA, so we should be hold onto them if at all possible.

Jeanie needs to bite the bullet when we hit the luxury tax for the final years of LeBron's extension to retain these young guys, as you say.

In this early season we have 5 guys averaging double figures in scoring, possibly 6 after this game as KCP was at 9.6 and he scored 14. But I’m loving the distribution. Before this game

    LeBron - 24.0
    AD - 22.9
    Shröder -14.3
    Harrell -12.9
    Kuz -10.8

Oh, and we’ve now beaten the Rockets 6 straight times I believe. That’s my dream come true.

Frank Vogel is the only coach I have ever seen who looks to be getting younger as his stint as head coach continues. He looks like he knows exactly what's happening. I do not even think he stood up more than a handful of times. He looked like Phil Jackson during the home games against the Spurs in the WCF in 2001.

She knows. I believe she has already said it. Her dad did it as long as the team won. If Lebron has another 2 years like this, there is a very good chance the Lakers 3-peat.

This is the engaged team we all love to see. Excellent energy, amazing defense al around, 48 mins of basketball.

idk what it is about the rockets, maybe the boogie to bron foul? Or kieff boogie incident, but these boys came to play in Houston and showed energy we haven’t seen all season in other of these games.

I just think for whatever reason we really enjoy wrecking Houston. In the playoffs we put the nail in the coffin for MDA, Morey, and poured gasoline on the Harden situation which got Westbrook shipped out. I don't think they're getting offers they like enough just yet, but it would be extremely poetic if that was Harden's last game with them and we ended that run as well.
