The guys did get rest last season. A 4 month rest. Do people just forget that or are you just stubborn about it?

And then they played 3 months of condensed playoff basketball. And had two months off before having to start a new, condensed season.

We have new challenges , it's cool . I prefer it over bringing the exact same team back .

It will take some time . I DO think Schroder shouldn't start and play little minutes with Lebron .

The best way to rest Lebron is by having the bench to maintain/extend leads .. not by having him taking possessions off on the court .

It never worked with dominant playmakers and never will imo .

I respectfully disagree. The Clippers were 8-9 in the paint in the 1st quarter when they essentially blew the game open and forced us to play catch-up the entire game.

those buckets wouldn't have been there if mcgee was playing? because he would have left ibaka open at the three point line? that's the difference. on their end.

Clippers blew the game open when PG wasn't missing from outside. Paint points didn't do jack crap.

I wasn't happy AD didnt play 35-40 min. There are plenty of teams to stay stagnant against this year. This wasn't one of them. AD is 27 years old and in his ultimate prime. When the Lakers had stopped the Clippers for 5 min, they had a shot to go on a run but AD was sitting or not initiated into the offense.

You gave those dumb s*** confidence now instead of piling it on. f***ing a**.

Most in the know in Laker Fandom don't. We are talking about 2 division titles in 50 years. While the Lakers are at 12 World Titles the last 50 years. It shouldn't even be a discussion, but nothing else to talk about. The Mavericks looked like elephant dong tonight.

Losing Dwight was stupid. Still need a reliable defensive center.

Gasol maybe washed and Matthews doesnt look much better. I'm not giving up on either as the short preseason lack of training camp may mean they need more time. Plus Vogel hasn't had much of a chance to optimize but still.

Would have given Dwight an extra year if needed to keep the year to year salary lower I'd they needed to. This is the only real weakness I see on this team even with Gasol and Matthews underperformong

Speaking of washed .... hope the fumes of the disinfectant they must have had to use to get rid of the Clippers stink earlier today in Staples are not lingering to affect any Lakers or ex Lakers players in tonight’s game. I bet it smelled like skunk in there after that performance.

Learning experience for Vogel and the Lakers

Harrell/AD/Schroder/Lebron is not a good closing lineup with the Blazers going small. AD was drifting 18-20 feet from the basket way too many times and we didn't have enough spacing on the court. Schroder basically ran the show and Lebron played off ball. That's not how this team works...it should be AD/Bron and everyone plays off of them and we just didn't see that tonight. As good as Harrell is, its tough to put him in there in closing lineups because it affects spacing on offense.

Anyways we cant win every game but something to take away for future.
