I hope you're right OX. More than anything else health is the biggest priority is what I was trying to say.
yes, the only thing that matters is being healthy and gelling as a team at the right time I do hope Dudley is part of our group, and I think adding another champion like Pau along the way would not hurt. A team full of champs, staying focused, lots of quality players, and end of bench vets that can produce for a few minutes in the pinch.
??? Starters: G - Dennis The Menace G - Caldwell-Pope F - James F - Unsigned Guy From UofK C - Gasol 2nd unit: G - Bald Eagle G - Matthews F - Kuzma F - The Likeable Morris Twin C - Harrell
Okay someone smart figure out how to incorporate THT! My thoughts are start the guy and move Morris to 3rd stringer and Dennis to the bench. THT KCP Lebron Davis Gasol Bench Dennis AC Wes Kuzma/Morris Trez
Lebron Kcp Wes AD Gasol Schroder THT Kuz Kief Trez There will never be a complete 5 man sub though. Lebron or AD will always be in.
I think guys like THT and Morris will get playing time when the other guys take games off. We’re so deep that its going to be hard to find playing time for everyone. Its a great problem to have for Vogel but its also a tough balancing act. Schroeder/Caruso Wes/KCP Lebron/Kuz AD Marc/Harrell Thats the main rotation. Slot THT 1-3 and Morris 4-5 accordingly.
i don't see how there will be any room for THT in the rotation unless there's an injury he's not going to get playing time over caruso or schroder
If this was a regular looking season, you're probably right this year. In a condensed 72 game season with players missing games because of covid protocols and us limiting Bron as much as we can, he'll get some sporadic PT.
Talent always finds their way into playing time. And with Lebron needing to be fresh for the playoffs, playing THT will only lessen Lebron's work load. If THT is in fact this good, no way in hell he isn't getting 15-20 min a game. He might have been one of the reasons the Lakers didn't need to go find a ball handling guard. They already had one. Getting Schroder was just to get rid of Green and get younger.
i'll try: m. gasol (24)/trez (24) AD (32) / trez (6) / kuz (10) lebron (32) / kuz (16) wes (24) / THT (12) / kcp (12) kcp (12) /schroder (24) / eagle (12) nope. doesn't work. kieff's not even here, and eagle is only getting 12 minutes. that's with kcp as nominal starting pg with lebron. people will get hurt and/or sit, though, which will open things up. but as of today, vogel will have a tough time.
^ AD will definitely get a chunk of minutes at C. We're at our best with AD at C, Bron at PF surrounded by a bunch of shooters to open the floor. It takes a toll on AD's body but that is one of our effective lineups with Bron + 4 outside threats Assuming AD/Bron only play 60 - 65 games out of 72, there will be plenty of minutes to be had for the others. Their true value will definitely come in handy in those games where our big guns have to sit out
AC and THT will get about equal minutes I think. Some matchups will call for more eagle, others for more THT. Talen can play sf too though..
Don't forget AD will get a bulk of minutes at the C. I don't believe Vogel will make the same mistake with Trez that Doc did.
This is how I think it will go roughly, average minutes wise: KCP 23, Schroder 23 Wes 22, AC Fresh 20, THT 8 Lebron 32, Kuz 16 AD 35, Morris 13 Gasol 24, Trez 24 That's when all are healthy. I can't really seeing THT averaging much more than 8 minutes per game realistically in the regular season. He's still just a 20 year old, 2nd year and 11th guy on a championship trying to repeat. He will take some minutes away from the guard rotation but it won't be a ton unless guys are hurt or we are blowing people out in a big way. We have some serious depth this year! I love it.
This team is extremely deep. Barring devastating injuries, there isn't a team remotely close. The bench is one of the deepest/talented I've seen.
