hahaha damn 10 racks, id definitely would want to just take that and go party somewhere. I always lose so i would of sat there ( after id played 10,000 the mamba gave me.
I liked the last part. Even though Gaffney ended up on the C Bags, entering the NBA Finals against none other than Kobe, Kobe still gave him a hug. He's a machine, but he also respects hard work. No matter how much talent a player has, or how unknown a player may be, no matter what team a player is on, if Kobe knows you've worked your tail off to get to where you're at, he gives respect when it's due.
My man Tony Gaffney, he played for my home team in Bonn recently for 2 seasons and was an absolute fan favorite. He told me that story about Kobe and it was just awesome to hear from somebody who actually played and trainend with Kobe. He also told me that he's probably the one and only C Bags fan whose favorite NBA Player is Kobe Bryant and who roots for the Lakers everytime they play if they don't play Boston...
awesome read. thanks for the post doc i faintly remember gaffney with the lakers in camp but i do clearly recall when the C Bags signed him down the stretch in 2010. there was a thread about it at CL and we all figured they just signed him to gain insight on the lakers tactics which clearly ended up not working out. it's still remarkable reading about kobe's training routine after all these years. truly the last of his kind
these stories never get old. i think its great that time and time again these players always bring up these stories about kobe. u dont hear them about other players. game truly recognizes game
Yahoo, doing what Yahoo does with its bleep stirring headlines..... of course.....now has "this" up in bold print to catch the eye on home page with same story: "How Kobe shredded one-time rookie teammate"
