Pau said he wants to come back and actually play. He’s not good with riding the bench like Duds... and if so... unfortunately... he probably won’t find many minutes on this team.

if mgmt tells him off the bat that's his role is more like dudley n hes accepting than why not? he wont need to play every gm or maybe not even every other gm, more spot minutes when trez or marc needs rest

pau has nothing left in the tank. he's done. i'd love to have him back for nostalgic reasons but there's just no room for him

i forget if they still have one open spot or none. if they still have one spot open, it'd be smart to save that for a midseason pickup and not someone who will never play

Because I don’t want disgruntled players that are mad they aren’t playing. Pau already said he wants to play real minutes. He could have just said “whatever the coach wants”, but instead he said he wants some minutes

I think you're misinterpreting real minutes at the age of 40. That looks very different than real minutes at the age of 35 (last time he was playing more than 26 minutes a night). He knows where he's at, I don't think he's delusional about that. He's not Karl Malone at 40 or Vince Carter.

Here's the minutes he was playing at the end of his run with the Spurs... 20201209_201655.jpg

And that is two years ago. Before his foot injures. I don't think he's expecting much.

Also in his interview, he brought up if he could play here at "some point" this season 2x. Meaning he knows the roster construction and limitations at this point.

i think he's gone. but not to us. for now. we get mid-career stars, baby.

they really botched the bogdanovic situation, one way or another. what a screw up. of course, sacramento was involved. lie down with dogs...

as for pau, i'm wary like barns. good story. love him. we didn't treat him great at the end. not sure i want to double down.

He doesn’t move the needle on the court. Toward the end of the year I think we will have enough remaining for a prorated minimum contract, and maybe that’s when it can be a consideration depending on how the season has gone.

before then? Rehab and get in shape. Be ready.

Hey if Pau is good with little to no minutes, I’d love to have him, but I don’t want complaints about playing time.

Some games he probably won’t play at all, and he needs to be good with that. From his comments I’m not sure he would.

I saw something captioned below a Pau interview I didn't watch about him discussing his "rehab". Anyone please, what's he coming off of injury wise, out of curiosity?

Yeah I didn’t catch the part about Pau seeking real minutes, but he did acknowledge that beggars can’t be choosers and he doesn’t have many offers. I’m sure if we told him we’d bring him in for emergency depth with no guarantees of playing time, he’d eagerly accept and not cause any locker room problems.

Without the Bubble, it is going to be really hard for these guys to clear COVID Tests. They will be traveling to many cities.

Would have loved to see the Clips implode and George leave for nothing after this season, but having them lock up a choke artist is also nice.

But why do I feel like he’s not REALLY that committed to the Clips franchise and probably felt pressured into taking this after everyone laughed at him for claiming he wanted to retire a Clipper? We already saw how him signing a long term contract in OKC played out.

yea, the bubble was such a controlled environment, we need to be ready for anything this season... we somehow improved the roster while maintaining/adding depth, which will greatly reduce the pressure (and minutes) on AD/Lebron to generate 50+ points per night... so we have the personnel to withstand the attrition of the regular season, then we can go full blast once the playoffs start.

i didn't think it was possible, but i'm even more excited about this team than last year's.

Before the bubble, it was announced we had two players who had tested positive for Covid.

Did we ever find out which two players that was? All I know for sure was that Chris Haynes said it was NOT Javale.

I’m guessing Markieff might be one of those players, I think he had to show up late to the bubble.

Not a big deal, I’m just curious if there are any players we don’t have to worry about getting Covid this season since they already had it (I know we still don’t know for sure how likely it is to catch it again, but it does seem very rare)

Man I'm not sure what to make of this except that the Clippers are probably panicking about Kawhi's willingness to stay after this season, and they no doubted wanted to lock-in a "star" long-term.

It would be so perfect if Pandemic-P becomes the lone face of that wretched franchise as they slide back into irrelevance.
