    From the article:

It's a real shame that Upshaw has all of these potential red flags, because without them he would undeniably be a lottery-level talent due to the NBA's premium on rim protection. His 17.1 percent block-rate would have led the entire nation this season had he qualified minutes-wise, and his 7.2 blocks-per-40 minutes dwarf that of the second-place prospect on my top-100 board in blocks-per-40, Myles Turner, at 4.7.

If he has been checked twice already, he'll get clearance. And in that case he won't make it late into the second round. I'd still take him no later than 34th. I'd have my docs check him, and I wouldn't be opposed to using the 27 on him. Still, I wouldn't be all in on him at 27. I'd weigh options.

There's a guy that I follow who's been covering prospects since 92; aside from the basketball issues, he has Upshaw rated 7th on his board.

Lakers have six guys in tomorrow morning for a 27/34 workout then D’Angelo Russell on his own.

Sounds like for Upshaws best interest, he should tell teams that don't suit him well he'll go overseas if they draft him, go undrafted so HE can handpick the best place for him. We could be one of those teams.

He knows by the back of his neck (yes I know) working out for the Lakers is a waste of time. Like a salesman toward an obvious non-buyer.

Bingo. I can't imagine him not wanting to be here, but he knows it's just not going to happen.

I've heard that he wants Philly, which actually makes sense because their offense would suit him perfectly.

But wait.... hasn't he read that article about what some other "team execs" are saying with the Lakers taking him at #2?

Meh .... is he better than Tyreke was at same age? Just asking. Maybe Emmanuel is a little lighter and faster? How would you rate them in athleticism at 19 and agility and all that stuff we are excited about with Julius?

This is what I've heard too. Obviously I can't take too much from this picture, but if I were Russell I certainly would be skeptical of LA taking me. I'd give them a hell of a workout though. I'd want to make sure they considered me there.

But I think Philly makes more sense. I actually think Philly had him in mind when they traded away Carter-Williams.
