That's what I figured too. I'd expect a decent human being to care for their family while also honoring their contract and commitment to the team. Loyalty is a two-way street.
I haven't heard any comments, but I would strongly suspect that he plans on fully playing next year and that no team would sign him to sit out. I would bet that if he could take back his decision, he would chose to play in the bubble.

Lakers are losing their defensive advantages fast. AB is a huge loss. A lot of people on this forum undervalue him
I'm on record being 100% fine with him leaving. Wasn't exited about the possiblity of having him back. If there was one player on the team where we can say: "well, didn't need him to win it all" - it was him. Not only did he not show up for the playoffs (while Rondo was hurt and we really needed guard depth), he almost cost us Dwight for that run, and Dwight actually contributed. Finally, he opted out of his contract, only to move to Miami where COVID situation is really bad (vis-a-vis his son's health) and to get what... 600K more? Good riddance as far as I'm concerned.
I think our defensive advantage is that we have a coach that understands defense and how to use his players appropriately. Our defense this year will be better after a short installation period. We have dogs now...lol Plus we still have players to bring in. I'm guessing coach V is doing cartwheels in his office once the door is shut. I am hoping we can work it out with KCP.
Pretty much how I feel. Our backcourt rotation is set with Caruso, KCP, Schroder and Mathews. We don't need players that don't want to be here.
I don't feel as badly about Bradley as some of you seem to. But, I predicted this was going to lead to problems on the team with him down the road. I am more than sure that there is some sentiment on the team that they all had to live in the bubble without their families too. They may not have had as compelling a reason but they have similar situations. Anyone would children would. Basically, he would have had to be content to communicate with his family using Zoom or something similar and then get tested before he headed home after the finals. What do you think everyone else did? I think he played himself out of a ring and the team. I wish him luck, but not too much. He let our team down, bottom line, no excuses.
we have four quality guards (matthews, kcp, caruso, schroder) and THT. i'm not sure if bradley was going to beat any of the 4 out (maybe matthews, i guess), and i'm ok with seeing what THT has in spot duty when one of the others is out. maybe he just saw the writing on the wall.

The hilarity of that Clippers choke job and come from another playoff 3-1 lead to lose after their season of hype will never grow stale.
