As is Antifa and far left terrorism. Thing is the far left terrorism is far more active as it pertains to actually hurting people. There were no riots with Trump losing. If Biden would have lost, cities would have burned.

I am not informed enough to comment on that sort of thing, but I did see yesterday a report that hate crimes were the “deadliest” ever in 2019 with 51 murders (2020 data not complete yet), the largest number of which were race based. There’s definitely some serious race tensions to put it lightly, and that’s always going to be the case, but I still think Trump and his style and way of whipping up his fans doesn’t help, it emboldens people who already have this stuff as part of them.

But honestly, and not trying to get into a debate here, just sharing my opinion, even with sources provided, what does it matter when people are shown legitimate sources and refuse to believe them, or call them fake news? That is to me what is so dangerous that Trump started a war with the media, plenty of news does deserve to be called out as bias, some is actually fake news, but he’s undermining the media as a whole except the few he likes. That’s how things go downhill, when actual journalism is called fake and people believe it, that’s one of the ways dictators start, it’s alarming to me and has been for some time.

Just today I watched a news report where 3 Trump supporters were interviewed and all said they’d never accept the results of this election, it has to be fraud. That’s when politics changes to brainwashing, when people refuse to accept the truth in front of their eyes, again, speaking from experience, very cult like behavior. Another man interviewed in that video said that Trump essentially walks on water as far as he’s concerned, which is incredibly disturbing, this joke of a man is this guy’s Jesus. Another part had a woman not understanding how mail in votes closed the gap for Biden in places and over time put him ahead, the math didn’t add up for her, and I’m sitting here just trying to understand how people can be THIS stupid. This isn’t politics, politics is when your guy loses you accept it and move on and start complaining about the new guy. You don’t have protests, you don’t look to have him stay in power like a dictator, you accept the results and on to the next. Hell, I’ll just post it, I don’t even care if I take the flak. I’ll post some “comedy” shows talking about this stuff that came across my feed as well, I never watch these shows but when they’re right they’re right

there is such a thing as antifa. but it's nothing like actual, organized far right groups like the proud boys, three percenters, atomwaffen, etc. it's far more of a boogeyman the right loves to use as a scare tactic than an actual group

Biden got more votes than any President in the history of the country EVER? LOL that's really sad. That's how hated Trump was if that is accurate.

The definition of terrorist attack they are using is VERY limited. The main study (that those links are all referencing) "excludes all the hate crimes, protests, riots and civil unrest, including the disturbances after the killing of George Floyd by a policeman in Minneapolis." That's pretty disingenuous considering how much damage was done during that time. So we'll look at all the times a lone-wolf wacko got pissed and ran someone down in his car and count that, but we're going to ignore everything that happened in that period when cities were being burned to the ground. The riots and looting is where ANTIFA was doing their work. That's where all the footage of them comes from. But because they were "riots" they don't count? OK.

Sorry. That's a nice little stat that can be thrown out by the main stream media that is completely misleading. Trump's wrong about his claims...if we narrow the definition down to this and ignore the massive unrest.

So then are you saying that the people we see with the bandanas on their face are far right terrorists?

I agree with everything you said. I’d go even further and say Trump caused the cult behavior to intensify on both sides. The left is just as cultish as the right imo, but it’s because they had to almost match what Trump put out, if that makes sense. The uber-Trump supporters are absolutely ridiculous and I hate talking to them as much as I hate talking to the uber-Trump haters.

how do you know all those people rioting and looting were connected to antifa/left-leaning terrorist groups and not just random civilians with zero affiliation to any political group?

see, there's the problem. the right has taken the riots/looting and basically labeled anyone participating as "the left" or "antifa"

Actually never mind, I tend to think it doesn’t matter if it’s left or right, violence, riots, and looting are happening so whoever those people are need to get dealt with.

Clark County is where Las Vegas is located. It's the county with the highest population. Nevada only represents 6 electoral votes. But where there's smoke...

Just so we’re on the same page, you guys ARE aware that violent alt-right groups DO exist and have similarly contributed to some of the violence and property damage in the streets over the past several months, right?

And that currently some of these people are eating up Trump’s conspiracy talk and essentially calling for civil war? Someone in this thread mentioned something about how they hope we don’t have bloodshed in the streets. That same day I saw a video of the Trump protests where a guy was giving a speech in the middle of a crowd ranting about the stolen election and literally calling for bloodshed, and getting loudly cheered for it.

And how when Trump’s people posted about how their protest this weekend was completely peaceful, they were flat out lying? They posted about a Trump supporter who got beat up, acting like the left viciously assaulted him for no reason. Yet there is video evidence of this person assaulting others and provoking violence to begin with. Video of groups of Proud Boys violently approaching retreating counter-protestors.

“The mainstream media is biased and tries to label all the BLM protests as peaceful and good-natured, yet we know that many violent looters and anarchists have co-opted the movement and contributed to violence/property damage in the streets”.

Fair point. But sometimes it seems you guys don’t apply the same logic to your side.

“All leftists are violent looters... But everyone on the right are good people who just like conservative politics and have been smeared by the fake news media.”

Not accurate. You might be able to convince me that YOU are an independent thinker who is against violence and voted for Trump for benign reasons. But if you can’t even acknowledge that there does exist a fanatical cult on your side as well that Trump is trying to incite violence from, that’s being disingenuous.

agree with most of what you said, except for your claim that violent alt-right groups have "similarly contributed" to the violence

let's not get it twisted, far-right terrorist groups are responsible for the vast majority of terrorist attacks we've seen in 2020

I mean if you’re being technical about terrorist attacks vs violence in the streets, I agree, but let’s not act like violence in the streets is only from one side.

There is no real evidence. Liberal media says it’s the right; conservative media says it’s the left. They all need to go to jail. The rioters/looters, not the media. ;)

well no, obviously there's been street violence from both sides

my only issue is when we see clips from rioting/looting and the right has labeled it "antifa violence" or something like that. let's be honest, those people out pulling that BS are most likely not affiliated with any political organization. they're just random dipsh*ts looking to start trouble or steal things
