Glad that one didn't go anywhere, honestly. I'm not a fan.

Wes Sr. would be happy to see his son play for the team he won a Championship with back in the showtime era.

So Matthews for the vet minimum, Ibaka for the MLE. Hopefully resign Dwight with whatever's left. I think that'll do it. Maybe sign KCP to a giant one year deal since we have his bird rights.

    Ibaka/Dwight
    AD/Kuz
    Lebron/Matthews
    KCP/THT
    Schroder/Caruso

That team is better than last seasons team.

Matthews is a 1 on 1 defender whereas Green was more of a help defender.

    Would be a good addition

Yeah that wasn't cool I thought too. Hopefully it was @wallangong 's interpretation below.

True that. And if we get a better one on one defender in the mix to take up DG's minutes off the bench this year ..... certainly Vogel can bring that / those guys up to speed with the team help D part of the equation.

Regarding Schroeder. People were raving about his defense before his injury (which was what?). How was his defense last year when he finally was getting big minutes again. Did it drop off at all?

Wonder if “The Green Room” will be popular in OKC

Actually I don’t wonder, and I don’t care. I think it’s a good move to move on quickly from that mistake, as his focus clearly was not on basketball while he was here. def not worth 15 mil

for Dennis, did he quit bleaching that spot of his hair? Always thought that looked lame. Glad to hear his shooting has improved. Sounds like we are looking to keep him long-term if he works out.

They both are actually good spark plugs off the bench and both bring different energy off the bench. I guess starting Caruso does make a little more sense since he doesn't provide as much scoring, but would be on the floor with AD and Lebron so he wouldn't need to. I change my stance. Start Caruso.

My guess is that Schroder will start. I'm good with that. As per ESPN this morning:

"Schroder finished runner-up for Sixth Man of the Year last season, becoming a key component to one of the best combinations in the NBA, a three-point-guard lineup alongside Chris Paul and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Though he excelled in his role, averaging 18.9 points and 4.0 assists, Schroder was never shy about his desire to return to the starting lineup and the Lakers are poised to give him that opportunity."

ESPN's Royce Young contributed to this report.

He's gonna get 30 minutes per game anyways. Vogel is going to do a good job staggering the minutes.

    Bron
    AD
    Schroder
    KCP
    Javale or Cousins or Ibaka?

Yeah. I think we could close with a lineup of Ibaka/AD/Lebron/Schroder/Caruso. Ibaka can play on the floor with AD at the end of games since he can shoot 3's. We would be able to keep our size advantage on the floor if we go after Ibaka with the MLE. Hopefully Caruso can continue to improve his 3 pointer, although with the shortened offseason, I doubt he will be able to improve that much.
