Wouldn't waste trading Kuz for that deal. I'm not thrilled with Schroder's game, but he is a significant upgrade at the point. The article mentions Green + 1st for him. I do that ONLY if we can't package Kuz with Green for anything better. I think there's enough serviceable PGs where we don't have to burn our only package on Dennis. I'd rather have DD + Teague/Augustin than Dennis and Baze/Crowder/W. Chandler/J. Green

imo, gallo/derozan is an either/or situation. last year, we didn't have anyone like that, but could have used one guy. having two is a luxury. feel like that's what the clips did (had lou, but had to go get marcus morris and reggie jackson) and found it didn't work. there's really only room for one ball-dominant scorer who isn't a superstar. it's that sixth man role from the 80s--even if they're a nominal starter. tbh, clarkson can do some of that (derozan is the rich man's version, though). we had some doldrums throughout the year in which we couldn't put up points and it put a ton of pressure on our defense and our stars and made us have more close games than we needed.

just adding one guy who can carry the offense for 20mpg would be huge. otherwise, i like our general philosophy: team defenders who are physical and can fit in on offense. there are cheap vets that can do that, and we need to keep stocking up on those.

 

We won without having a true shooter but I feel like it'd make our lives easier if we can sign one this offseason. Or trade for one.

 

Gallo and DD would seal the back to back. DD averaged 22 a game and shot 53% from the field last year. 40% from three. That's the 3rd star and the guy that can keep Lebron at 29 min a game during the regular season.

Gallo would be death for opposing teams. He won't miss open shots like Green or Kuzma.

DD has NEVER shot 40% from 3s...is this some alternate universe DD or something? n he took 35 3s for the ENTIRE season, at one pt 1/3 into the season he had like 5 or so total attempts lol

 

LeBron might actually be able to help Derozan gain some confidence and at least take the shot.
