Thoughts on Christian Wood? Trevor brought it up on LakersNation and said he would rather have Wood over Gallo. While I do like Wood, I feel he's too similar to AD and Gallo is too good of a shooter/scorer to give up for an overlap in talent with another position. Even if we don't get Wood, there are serviceable centers in the market that could fill that gap.

I'm hoping we can find a deal to get Jrue Holiday but David Griffin is a tough cookie and won't take the offer we have when there are better deals out there.

I also like Alec Burks from Philly. Good scorer and has some nice size.

Lots of plays for the Lakers and I am confident Rob is doing the best with what we have.

I like CW's game. But the sample size is waaay too small. I also don't trust inflated numbers on a bad team. Too many cheap options for veteran bigs to come her on the cheap for us to be sinking every penny on one (and that's not even going to be enough to get him). He's going to get paid next week and I think he'll be well out of our price range. He'll get $15m. Given his age and journey to get here, he's going to take the money and run.

Whereas Gallo is a prefect fit for this team and you know exactly what you're getting from him night in and night out. And he's not looking for the $, he wants a 'ship

I like CW too (especially when he was on my fantasy team), but i also think his sample size is a bit too small.

hes also gonna get paid by some team that thinks otherwise.

i cant see us being able to compete with what hes offered

Ibaka has moved to my number one FA target, with Gallo number 2. If we get either one of those we will be in excellent shape.

Some teams are stupid, the lure of a big name to push them over the top is too great. They probably saw what he did with an OKC team that wasn’t expected to even be decent and said hell he could get us a title! They probably didn’t make an offer to gut the team or it’d be done though. Honestly I fear he’s going to end up here, so much rumblings about it, he’s LeBron’s buddy, I’m worried.

He might be able to push them into 8th, but the bottom of the West is SOOO competitive. Is it really worth it? I think it's more likely he and Booker clash and they have to try to flip him next summer at the latest.

So Serge Ibaka unfollowed the Raptors and followed the Lakers Twitter account. Does that mean he's signing with the Lakers? All that talk about teams already agreeing to deals might be true. And he might start with Serge.

My 1st choice would be Gallo. Just think he would be an insanely good fit next to Bron and AD.

It's been true for a while ... Remember Mitch was described as an ineffective and "old" GM because he started to contact players only when the FA period officially started

totally get it for phx. rubio helped them get much more respectable, and they need to be competitive again. would make booker's life much easier. matching salary would be hard, though phx has space under the cap. i guess okc could save cash and rubio could maybe keep them from being an embarrassment? how badly do these teams want to finish 8th?

One thing with Ibaka worth noting that completely slipped my mind is that Vogel has coached him before.

And in December of 2016, he had this to say about him
Also, how is he only 31? It seems he's been around long enough he should be 35.
