 It hasn’t worked with Harden as far as winning a title or even reaching a Finals in 8 years in Houston, but sure, keep trying to run that back Morey. Definition of insanity.

Knicks overpaying for a small sample size continues. I like his game in today's league, but not at the price he's going to get offered from the Knicks. He'll end up as a bust there.

Reunite with AD? How much are you willing to give up for him? Kuz, AC, Green, pick?

The Athletic speculates on who might try to target him

if our assets in a holiday chase are limited, then is the reporter suggesting that denver or miami is willing to give up something more than our non-lebron/AD players? because i doubt it, strongly.

and i don't see the nets moving levert for holiday. feel like griffin's chumming the waters here and prepping his fanbase for the move. his price won't be that high, though.

No to AC. He's simply too great a fit and too valuable for us at his contract. Kuz, Green and pick is a no brainer for me, though. Maybe THT if they want someone else additionally.

I don't think Kuz and a late first is enough talent to net a all star caliber, top flight 2 way starting PG. We already have a working relationship with NO, which i think is to our advantage.

Green has no value other than a locker room guy for the kids there. But he's needed for contract purposes.

I like AC, but if we get an all star PG, there's much less PTfor him and in such a deal, I include him in a NY minute.

Hope that's true and we can move on from that awkward fitting pipe dream.

yes, would be great. i think we have real avenues to improve the team now if we're not locked into a full max spot next year.

    That's good news.

I think Jrue would fit well with us, he does quite a few things that we need. He's a combo guard who can do a little bit of everything... facilitates well, scores the ball, shoots alright... not too old, not too young. Again, that's exactly the kind of player we need. But that contract... I don't know how we can pull that off. If we somehow manage to get him to LA, we'd literally just need to re-sign one of our centers plus Boogie and pay KCP - and we're ready to compete for another championship.

I would love to get Jrue Holiday here and I actually don't think it would cost as much as some are saying...

Green, Kuz, 28th pick should do the trick - I also don't think that the Pels are looking to add more young PG's to this deal with Lonzo already there and NAW also in tow...wouldn't make sense to take AC or THT back - they already have too many guys so I think it would be more to get rid of Jrue's contract which has another 2 years on it (PO for next summer which he's likely to pick up), and let the young guys shine.

Kuz and Green would add some much needed depth on their wings - as it stands, Ingram is the only true wing on the team. Kuz would give them some much needed versatility at the forward spot...and will allow them to go small with Zion Kuz Ingram Hart Ball lineup.

If they trade Holiday anywhere else, he could just threaten to opt out next summer and then that team will probably not cough up the assets for him. Basically, if Jrue wants to come to LA and play with his buddy AD, he can make it happen.

Then, re-sign KCP, and you got:

    Jrue
    KCP
    LeBron
    AD
    Boogie

Every guy can score, defend, and get their own bucket in that lineup. Wow.

A really good read with tons of rumors. Nothing directly to do with the Lakers, but some players we've discussed here about possibly targeting are discussed at length.

Good for him. Put that BS to bed now. Giannis has always been too cool for school. Not a surprise at all.

    :Jacksnicker:

I've always thought it should be before the draft. In you're netting a max FA, wouldn't you want their opinion on who you're drafting?

Also, I like it as roster filler. If you have a later pick, you use the draft to round out your roster with what you couldn't land in free agency.

Since it's not possible this year, maybe we get free agency within 48 hours of the draft.

    Couple bigs linked to us...

If we lose Dwight, but bring in either of them and then Boogie for peanut, we're more than covered.

I'd love both. Imagine a three headed monster of Ibaka / Thompson / Boogie. All can play D, protect the rim AND hit outside shots. Literally perfect.

I was wondering about Ibaka, but some people here were trying to convince me it was impossible. He'd fit great. 31, plays two positions, shoots well from outside, blocks a shot every game, has championship experience. Really good fit.
