harkless would be an awesome pickup

clarkson, don't see the point of bringing him back if kuzma is still here. if they trade kuzma then it'd be a good pickup

So we’d have LeBron, AD, Paul, and a bunch of guys we pulled from the local 24 hour fitness? Because that’s how much money we’d have left to fill out the roster, we’d have to find guys who would play for free. No thanks, this title showed all you need is 2 stars and a team filled with guys that buy in on defense and know their roles. If you have 3 stars it needs to be a guy who is a true 3rd guy making 20 mil or around there, not friggin 40. Also when he inevitably got injured in round 2 or 3 we’d be screwed because our depth would be gutted by acquiring him. I imagine landing him would take all our young players, Kuz, Caruso, THT, Cakok, and I don’t even know how you make salaries match from there, that’s like only 7 mil right there.

I mean that’s not too much, it’s role players, but I still don’t like where it puts our salary situation, almost every free cent tied up in 3 guys. I also don’t see why OKC would do that, they could likely get picks and the youth they seek elsewhere. Or just sit on his contract until his option is up and rebuild along the way.

Wow. Lue turned down the championship Lakers over one extra year on his contract, and then settles for the tenants.

The good news in that, is that we have neither to offer the Thunder for CP3.

No way we go for CP3 knowing Rondo hates that guy and would give him a two piece....

    CP3-KCP-Bron-AD-Dwight

    Caruso-Gallo ect off the bench

If I had to pick between Rondo and CP3, surprisingly to some, I’d pick Rondo and I think it would destroy our team to get CP3 with Rondo or to get rid of Rondo to get CP3. Don’t want. In so many ways don’t want.

If we traded for CP3 I’m pretty sure OKC would demand Caruso in the trade. Also we’d have no money left for all 3 of KCP, Dwight, and Gallo, we could maybe afford one. We’d basically have one decent contract to offer, I think 9 mil or so, and a bunch of minimum contracts. Players would have to come here chasing rings because it sure wouldn’t be for money. This year we filled out our roster depth with the money that would have gone to Kawhi, that option would be gone if we traded for CP3 and the roster would be gutted at the same time. I’m pretty sure Kuz, Green, Caruso, Bradley, McGee, Cook, and THT would all be traded.

from what i understand, Harkless really wanted to end up in new york, but i would love to pick him up if the price is right. i also really like FVV and think he would fit in well here... maybe if serge and gasol leave, he may be more inclined to jump ship.
