Does Darren Collison want to return to the NBA from next season? He would get an offseason should he decide soon.

I just remembered the media making it seem like it would be impossible for us to win the title after Collison chose to remain retired lol

Oh boy I forgot about Gallo - he would actually be a near perfect fit for our team, and maybe he can be had for the MLE?

Can he handle the ball? Can he be a playmaker?

One thing is for sure - he can still ball, he's not THAT old at 31 years old, and he spreads the floor.

Only question for him is defense...

damn...FVV, Gasol AND Ibaka are all FA's?

I would love to add any of those 3 guys...all 3 would be excellent fits here.

FVV likely not in our price range but both Gasol and Ibaka should be right there and are great fits next to LeBron and AD and can both spread the floor.

    Baynes would be good too...

Andre Roberson is another interesting guy but he can't shoot and I'm not sure how effective he is on D now after all the injruies

Jeff Teague also interesting...also both Crowder and Iggy are FA"s too if we were looking to shore up the wings.

Lots of nice role players are going to be available for us to scoop up either via MLE or even just vet's min.

Can't wait to see who we can add!

The “media” maid it seem that way all damn year pretty much up until midway up 2-0 in the finals. Some other teams especially the bleeps across the hall always mentioned ahead for Finals odds.

I don’t think Collison is going to come out of retirement, he’s a brainwashed cult member now and that particular cult puts major pressure on their members to not do anything that makes them happy or takes their time away from cult activities. Unless it can bring them money or recognition like it did in the case of Prince.

It won’t be long until the “it’s not fair that the Lakers are so good,” complaints start up again.

I don't think people understand how strong of a grip some of those cults have on people. I'm guessing Collison wanted to play and was going to play and the cult told him absolutely not in no uncertain terms. So sad.

They’re much more passive aggressive than tell you outright “no”. It’s very much “it’s a conscience matter”, “are you sure you want to go back with ‘the end’ so close, right around the corner, these are urgent times” (it’s a doomsday cult). You get pressured that way, very much mind games and guilt trips to the extreme, though it is possible there were threats to his status too, that also happens. Anyway, some tidbits out our FAs

Don’t love all these players opting out, we can’t afford to pay them more than they make now and improve as a team at the same time. Rondo is a vet minimum player at this point, because he is only useful in the playoffs really, KCP already made way more than he’s worth in the years before this one and also should remain right where he is, IMO he’s now being paid exactly what he’s worth, and Dwight should also stay right where he is, perfect role for him. I wouldn’t change a thing if I’m Dwight, he just redeemed his career after watching it almost end with a whimper, don’t leave the best situation you’ve had in a decade for a tiny pay increase or because of curiosity with the Warriors or something.

If KCP gets a fat deal from Atl he should take it and Atl will be boo'ing him in no time lol

can't blame guys like KCP and rondo for opting out and trying to get paid

KCP is no doubt trying to cash in on winning a title and playing well in the playoffs, while rondo is in the same boat and has pretty much achieved what he set out to in his career. really hope dwight stays though

It might be a decade before players earn big time contracts again. The current CBA expires in 2023 I don't blame these guys chasing the paper and doing whats best for themselves and their families financial situations. They won. Now they can rest on their laurels to go get paid.

2023 CBA is gonna favor the owners like crazy.

I'd love to keep the band all together but in the words of Bobbi Fleckman in Spinal Tap "Money talks and bull$*** walks."

it's part of the game. look at what happened to the '11 mavs. they won a title and then a couple of their key guys like chandler and barea left because other teams paid them and they went right back to mediocrity

it'd suck to lose KCP and rondo but i'm not worried as long as lebron and AD are here

A few names Bobby Marks threw out in his latest ESPN insider article to watch for us with the MLE and BAE: Kief, Dwight, Teague, Augustin, Clarkson, Harkless, and Noel.

So, Daryl Morey just stepped down as GM of the Rockets. End of a trophy-less era. RIP.
