Thanks Cookie. The list is just so huge for “unrestricted” free agents. Does that include out of the league? LOL .... Andrew Bynum (actually not LOL .... “sadly”)? Ramon Sessions?

    I've included anyone I'd consider.

    POINT GUARDS

    Unlikely:
    Goran Dragic
    Kyle Lowry
    Fred VanVleet

    Possible but meh:
    Jeff Teague
    Reggie Jackson
    Michael Carter-Williams
    Tyler Johnson
    Yogi Ferrell
    D.J. Augustin

    Cheap, potential good fits:
    Trey Burke
    T.J. McConnell
    Gary Payton II

    SHOOTING GUARDS
    Unlikely:
    DeMar DeRozan (Player Option)
    Gordon Hayward
Tim Hardaway Jr. (Player Option)-don't see him exercising
    Joe Harris-they've got bird rights
    Evan Fournier (Player Option)

    Possible but meh:
    Wesley Matthews (Player Option)
Jordan Clarkson--not sure he fits now
    Alec Burks
J.J. Redick--interesting possibility on a cheap one year

Cheap, but probably for a reason:
    Garrett Temple (Team Option)
    Allen Crabbe
    E'Twaun Moore
    Andre Roberson

    SMALL FOWARDS
    Unlikely:
    Otto Porter Jr. (Player Option)
    Nicolas Batum (Player Option)
    Rodney Hood (Player Option)
    Svi Mykhailiuk (Team Option)--thanks, magic

    Possible:
Maurice Harkless--interests me, but only if we had to move kuz for something else--we only have room for so many big forwards

Cheap, but probably for a reason:
    Kyle Korver
    Thabo Sefolosha
    Glenn Robinson III
    Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

    POWER FOWARDS
    Unlikely:
Jerami Grant (Player Option)--don't see why they let him walk when they have rights

    Possible:
    Paul Millsap--not sure he's a fit
Jae Crowder--is a fit, would take
Danilo Gallinari--is a fit, would take on short-term deal

    Possible but meh:
Kelly Olynyk (Player Option)--ok, less than meh
Derrick Favors--would love if we move on from mcgee or howard
Bobby Portis (Team Option)--might work here, but again, big forward
Marcus Morris Sr.-see above, like his brother better, tbh
Jeff Green--still ticking somehow, wasn't bad for houston, but again, big forward
    James Johnson (Player Option)
    JaMychal Green (Player Option)
    Meyers Leonard
    Frank Kaminsky (Team Option)
    Noah Vonleh

    CENTERS
    Unlikely:
    Andre Drummond
Marc Gasol--rumor to europe, but i was hoping we'd get him, tbh
Montrezl Harrell--clips can't let an asset walk right now, but will be in a tough spot with teams maybe throwing cash at him
Serge Ibaka--not as good as he was, but i think they keep him in toronto

    Possible:
    Hassan Whiteside--howard replacement possibility
Dwight Howard--would like to keep if he's going to be the same guy off the court that he was this year
    Tristan Thompson--howard replacement possibility
    Aron Baynes

isn't mason plumlee a FA? howard/mcgee replacement possibility if so

    If we're desperate:
    John Henson
    Christian Wood
    Miles Plumlee
    Alex Len

Honestly, if we could get Clarkson and Gallo, I'd consider that to be a nice upgrade for a championship team.

Dudley is expendable and would understand plus got his ring. I'm just wondering about the friendship with AD and Cook if that means he has to stick on the roster. My gut says No, that AD and LeBron are going to be all business about going back to back and will not stand in the way of roster upgrades long as they seem certain to make us deeper and stronger.

Kuzma, Green, Bradley, McGee, Cook should be made available for trades, with all due respect. That's 31 million dollars right there.

I'd simply keep Rondo/Caruso/Bron/AD/THT resign KCP + Dwight + Morris, strengthen Combo Guard + 3&D wing positions, add one useful ring chaser at any position and we're ready to roll.

Dudley could always get an executive role, though. I don't think he should be on this roster as a player but Lakers could most definitely find a suitable role for him.

eh, if kuz was playing elsewhere, he'd be putting up 20ppg and getting talked up, imo. he bought into a smaller role and we won a title. i don't think he forgot how to play basketball over a summer.

JJ could be the shooter we hoped DG would be. Heck, i wouldn't mind Olynik and Crowder either.

Pass on Korver. Too much of a defensive liability. Awesome shooter but we won this season because of our defense not our shooting.

He's 39 and will be 40 during next season. He's definitely last out of those 4, but I'm not playing him more than 10-11 minutes a game on nights we need a boost (50 games ish). If we lose by playing him for 10 minutes, we don't deserve to win. We have the defensive talent to cover for an elite shooter. AD, Bron, KCP, AB, AC, 'Do, and Dwight afford you a couple defensive liabilities on the roster.

Karacha I like your take and list. What do you do about Boogie? I’d be tempted to offer him some kind of vet min type contract.

Makes sense. Porzingis will not last in this league physically. If Giannis wants to win and win for a long time, Miami is the best place for him though.

This by 1,000. Gallo fits perfectly with how the game has evolved. Can play all 3 front court positions and is a gifted and smart offensive player. Checks all the boxes of a Lebron teammate.

As an extra insurance, sure. I am not convinced he will be able to play much and he might show up out of shape. If he is willing to take the minimum and come off the bench in limited minutes, then sure. But then we don’t need McGee anymore. With Dwight, AD and Morris you will be able to cover most of the center minutes, since so many teams are going small now.
