My eyes are a little blurry from tears, this one is special. For Kobe and Gianna. For LeBron choosing to come here and take on the challenge. For AD forcing his way here because he knew he could win with LeBron and was being wasted in NO. For Caruso who scrapped and fought his way from the G-League to being clearly one of LeBron’s favorite teammates with his all-out play. For KCP turning his career around and becoming solid as a rock dependable. For Danny Green waiting out free agency in hopes of signing here. For Bradley and the big wins he helped us get in the regular season along the way to locking up that 1 seed. For Kuz accepting a role this season and doing it well for large chunks of the season and playoff series’ before the Finals. For Morris signing here mid-season believing we had what it took to win and having some huge games this playoff run. For Waiters and JR signing up when we needed help in the bubble and giving us whatever they had in those final bubble games before the playoffs. For McGee, Cook, Dudley choosing to ring chase here on the cheap haha. And for Dwight Howard putting his ego aside and accepting a defined role, the role of doing anything he was asked to help the team win, defense, boards, toughness, he earned this one.
Happy for Howard, Dudley, Caruso, Caldwell-Pope, Kuzma, Morris... Their first and maybe not their last with us.
Unbelievable feeling right now. I was so pissed off they blew Game 5. But give full credit to this team. They won it all for Kobe. Up goes banner number 17. We are the kings of the world. Kobe must be smiling from heaven.
