that's a .600 winning percentage, about the same as this year's heat.

We need to wear the Mamba Jerseys on the game we close out the win. I think that would be sports poetry. If we get to three wins we need to put on those Kobe threads and release the victory. An appropriate 17 championship Jack Salute (can we sneak him in the bubble).

I’m not sure why people are saying it, but Denver is not better than the two East teams and I’d go even further to say, had the Nuggets made it, they would have loss to both teams. We’re gonna have our hands full with this Heat team. We would’ve had our hands equally as full with the C Bags.

Think about it, Denver only has one perimeter guy who can change and takeover the game. We do a great job containing the paint, the perimeter is where we’ve struggled more. We haven’t been horrible but there is a difference when comparing with our paint defense.

Both Miami and the C Bags have/had 3 perimeter guys who can change and takeover the game.
    Miami: Butler, Dragic, Herro
    C Bags: Tatum, Brown, Kemba

No one on the Nuggets were on Murray’s level of game changing. I think we need to really look at this and realize what we are up against.

i mean, if herro and brown can "take over a game", then the bar is pretty low for that statement.

not a single player on that list is a more fearsome scorer than harden, lillard, or murray (at least the murray that was in this year's playoffs), tbh.

denver or houston could have beaten either of those teams, in theory.

that doesn't mean miami will be a cakewalk, but let's not fabricate greatness here. dragic and herro aren't going to go nova and defeat you all by themselves. *maybe* butler does. but miami wins playing hard and executing at all times on both ends. that's withering and why they kept coming back on boston. can the lakers match the intensity and focus? if they do, they'll win. but it won't be about an inability to contain herro or dragic.

With our habit of taking off our foot off the gas spells at a time during games, yes it is a concern. Even Vogel has pointed that out. On paper, we should win it. All the games will be competitive regardless of how many it goes.

yeah, i'm hoping they lock in for the enitrety of the finals, but data indicate that's foolishly optimistic. very curious to see how they come out, actually.

Could be wrong but I think TNT only does the playoffs and ABC/ESPN will do the finals?

    Yeah just confirmed that.

Lol, that’s pretty funny. The point is they have in these playoffs.

Never said they were more fearsome, I just said we shouldn’t act like this Heat team is worse than the Nuggets as I’ve read on here by multiple people.

We’ll have to agree to disagree because I don’t think so.

I most definitely believe we will win the Finals and I believe it will be in five games, possibly even four. However, it’s not gonna happen if the Lakers underestimate this Heat team which I don’t believe they will do, just as they didn’t with the Nuggets. I guess my main point was how I don’t believe the Nuggets are better than either of the ECF teams. Perseverance and resilience is what the Nuggets exude. Both those teams have that, plus better players so that’s why I’m saying what I’m saying.

Denver played their a**** off and it meant nothing. Playing hard doesn't mean s***. Ask Phil Jackson on that one.

Game 4 against the Nuggets, the Lakers led wire to wire against a team that was making every conceivable shot known to basketball for 4 quarters. The Nuggets played so hard in that game they withered away, especially Jamal Murray in Game 5.

Lakers have 2 of the best NBA players on the planet on their team. One is an all time great still lingering to his prime and the other who is just hitting his prime who has zero weaknesses in his game. The only weaknesses AD has is what some j****** sitting on his couch cooks up in their own head whom knows nothing about scheme and basketball on a game to game basis.

The ONLY thing that can stop this team is injuries to AD and/or Lebron. That's it. If that doesn't happen, the Lakers are winning it all comfortably.

The Nuggets were no fluke, and in my mind, way better than both ECF teams. Second seed behind the Warriors last season. Almost second seed again, and then eliminated the Flippers and Jazz.

Bam just said it's win or go home. I think he forgot this is the Finals. Doesn't matter who wins, you all are going home after this.

We'll save that for next year, when we beat and surpass them with 18 championships.

Lillard/McCollum/Carmelo and Harden/Westbrook/Gordon are much more capable of taking over games.

Murray/Joker are better than any of the players you listed.

I mean, Herro? Really? He's had ONE good game in playoffs and now he's some prolific scorer?

    Career highs
    Lebron: 61 pts
    Caruso: 32 pts
    Kuzma: 41 pts
    Rondo: 35 pts
    Green: 33 pts
    JR Smith: 45 pts
    KCP: 38 pts

The Heat better watch out. We have 7 perimeter players that can take over the game at any given time.

I remember when Gilbert Arenas went on a tear for like, a year and a half. Scoring like crazy, dropped 60 at Staples, all that s***. I started reading stupid things like "Is Gilbert Arenas the best scorer in NBA history".

We live in a hyperbolic society and it keeps getting worse. Jamal Murray drops 50 point games in a couple playoff games in an era of basketball where if you adjust your shorts, you get a foul called on you. And all of a sudden, he is a SUPER STAR and he is the greatest this and that.

The NBA gave the MVP to Giannis who was clearly not the MVP. And then gave him the DOPY for god knows why. Because he is the "next big thing". It isnt about earning it through actual facts and outcome.

In the end, winning the games is the only thing the prognosticators can't ruin. So, go win the next 4 games and let everyone eat it.
