When Breen, Van Gumby and Jackson go into their sentimentality announcing towards the end of the game, they exhaust the entertainment to 0. Jesus, no one died, we know the coaches respect each other, can you bring something original to whats coming? C Bags keep choking in the ECF. There is no silver lining.

I’m not as confident at all as some of you have expressed. I said it before in the WCF thread, this heat team is absolutely stacked on both sides of the ball. Bam is very versatile and who is guarding duncan(easily the best shooter on the floor by miles). They have iggy and crowder, this isn’t even mentioning herro, dragic, butler yet...

If AD plays like AD it really doesn't matter. If he puts Bam in foul trouble they have no decent big man to keep up with frontcourt. We have Howard, McGee, Morris and they have Meyers Leonard and Kelly Olynyk lol

The heat are going to have the beat the Lakers with schemes.
Otherwise the Lakers really match up well 1v1 on defense vs the Heat.
Rondo/Caruso/KCP match up physically well with Dragic and Herro in terms of size and quickness
    Can throw Green/Lebron/Kuzma on Butler

Unlike the Heat we have plenty of mobile bigs in Howard/AD/Morris to throw on Bam.

The Heat probably have the best coach in the league and more shooting but athletically this is the first team they'll face that is big and athletic across the board. Bucks were big but outside of Giannis that is just not an athletic team. Boston is very athletic but man they're lack of big man really hurt them against Bam.

Heat will try zone but I think AD in the middle of that zone would just cause all sorts of problems as he would just have open foul shots all game. They'll most likely create a wall like they did against Giannis but with AD spacing or rim running it ain't going to work as well. They'll get 1-2 games when Lebron's jumper goes out but otherwise should be Lakers in 6. The Lakers should be able to guard them well straight up without a lot of trick schemes and that will be the difference IMO

Stacked? Where? They have shooters, a very good player in Butler and Bam who AD made his little lady in both games.

Who's gonna stop Lebron or AD? Ill wait...

Surprisingly the Heat are not a whole lot better at shooting the 3 than the Lakers in these playoffs. Heat at 35.7% Lakers are 35.1%

I’m with OX. Lebron and AD are far and away the best 2 players in this series. That will be the difference that matters.

Watching the game tonight was like watching the Houston Crockets play each other in training camp.

    3...3....3...3...3....cherry pick....3....3....one nice play at the rim....3.....3....3....couple defensive stops.....3.....3.....3.

Almost fell asleep watching these two teams try to play NBA basketball.

They were just chucking them up there. I'm not too sad though - nice to see the C Bags go down.

Lakers sweep: LeBron had no competition
Lakers in 5: LeBron had no competition
Lakers in 6: How did Lebron nearly lose to Miami
Lakers in 7: LeBron's legacy was saved by....
Miami in 4-7: LeBron James just isn't that guy.

worst thing they can do is go into this series underestimating the heat

mediocre teams don't make the finals. this will not be an easy series whatsoever

them getting steamrolled in the finals just showed how dominant the 3 peat lakers were

The title that year was the 2002 WCF. It was a sad Finals. I wish the C Bags would have beaten the Nets in the ECF that year. C Bags keep choking away more Lakers vs C Bags finals with their choking. Unfortunate.

This totally old school Laker fan really really really really wanted the C Bags soooooo bad.

First time in the Finals in ten years for *both* teams. An opportunity for the Lakers to tie the C Bags for most NBA championships by beating those damn C Bags. Woulda been cool to see Rondo against his former team. A great tradition reborn for the new generation: nothing like the C Bags and the Lakers in the Finals.

Alas, it was not to be. Butler was good, Butler was clutch, but Bam killed them dead.

Ok we're stuck with the Heat. Their big man advantage over the C Bags is likely negated here. Vogel has the luxury of throwing lots of bodies at Bam. Something the C Bags did not have. The Heat will have their schemes to control Davis' offense, but they can't control Davis' defense. That will be the difference.

Lakers in Five. Again. fi' fi' fi' fi'!!!

Davis will be the Finals MVP. This is his biggest moment ever and he's going to be otherworldly at the defensive end.
