I've been on the Timberwolves forum recently; everyone of their beat writers has said that Flip is leaning toward Okafor. We'll see if that changes, but I'm not going to be shocked if Flip takes him at number 1...

Yup. Same here. I've always been intrigued with Dakari. Could be a steal...

I heard Flip loves Okafor, but the rest of the scouting department over there wants Towns. He may get overruled. I'm definitely hearing that Flip specifically wants Okafor right now though.

Yup. If anybody overrules him, it will be the owner. Flip has compared Okafor to Duncan. He loves him and rightfully so...

A SF whose draft stock is plummeting right now is Jarell Martin. I don't know why, but his draft position now is below the #34 pick. He's a guy we might want to take a look at and see what's going on.

Yeah I've my stance clear on Okafor. There's tremendous upside to Towns so you wont see me complaining if we end up with him, but I'd prefer Okafor for sure. I hope Flip loses that battle. Towns is really the much better fit for that franchise.

Yeah, it's all about preference. I prefer Towns, but I won't complain if we end up with Okafor. Kristaps is said to be working out right now in New York. I think Flip is there...

I could actually see Phil being the one who bites on Porzingis if the kid performs well.

Yeah I saw that and I know he's doing a mini-documentary in NY right now.

If the draft goes Towns/Okafor/Russell in the first three... Does Phil love Mudiay at #4 as a guard who doesn't quite fit the Triangle? Does he go for the versatile foreigner? Hm...

He trades the pick. If he has to pick, I think it goes in this order: Kristaps, Henzonja, Mudiay.

That is interesting. Saunders is definitely on the record saying he was willing to pick a guy who stated they didn't want to play there.

I like Martin. If he got him at #34 that would be a solid pick.

I heard Okafor was in Santa Barbara over this last weekend; somebody asked him, 'are you going to be a Laker?' He said, 'pretty darn sure.' I got this from another forum from a fan who work at a ski resort. He said Okafor and a bunch of his friends were there...

I think the Garden would literally explode if Phil took Kristaps.

Yeah, well. He's better off trading the pick. Fetching an impact player to pair with Melo.

I honestly think Phil is going to try and do just that. I think the clock is already ticking on him up there and he knows it. They need to build a contender up there pretty quickly.

Yeah, he only signed a 5 year deal. He's what, 69 years old? The best thing that could happen to him is Melo comes back healthy, they fetch an impact player with their pick, and they get Greg Monroe in free agency. They could use the rest of their money to fill the holes with that roster. Then, hope they make the playoffs which isn't that difficult in that JV league they call the East...

I see something like that playing out. Draft whoever falls out of Russell or Mudiay, sign Greg Monroe and Tobias Harris and go from there.
