i've barely watched any of the series; houston turns my stomach that much. just don't like anything they stand for, and the fact that it's been marginally successful is a threat to the game. we need to win convincingly to save nba basketball, tbh. and someone joked that dantoni's going to go smaller--and he is. he'll play 5 guards under 6'4" to try to prove his point. he's that certain he's correct. hilarious that he thinks the difference is just "wanting it more". also, if that's your strategy, maybe you don't hitch your wagon to harden, who only wants to do things that glorify him. not until they're disbanded. you must understand that the unholy triumvirate of morey/dantoni/harden is my mortal nba enemy. each must be vanquished, jointly and then subsequently separately if necessary. each stands for things that are abominations. thank you for coming to my nba ted talk.
I am having trouble concentrating at work because I'm so happy about the Lakers right now. I forgot how good it feels to win games in the playoffs.
"bizarre" is exactly the right word... so absurd, it's abzurd... they have an uncontested 8-footer heading towards the basket, but, instead, dish it for the 3... which, by the way, is tucker missing a lot from his "hot" spot in this series? anyone have a number crunch on that?
The Rockets were clearly better with Chris Paul, he’s overall more skilled in most categories and has more impact on the game than Westbrook. But, he couldn’t get along with Harden and he can’t be relied upon to stay healthy, so luckily that unholy trinity got broken up. I hope Russ keeps chucking threes and playing at wildly out of control speeds and this ends in 5 or 6.
Jeff Van Gundy...Mark Jackson...Mike Breen approves of this message. ...heard that trio wax the same poetic about Harden in 2016 (?) against Golden State in the playoffs. Don't doubt it is still true to this day.
...did several takes after I heard it. I remember asking if these three stooges ever heard of Chamberlain, Jordan, Bryant.
They were ripping this apart on Locked on Lakers last night. Anthony was insulted that anyone ever compare Harden to Kobe, because of how many possessions Harden takes off on offense just standing at the half court line when he doesn’t have the ball. It’s true, guy is a fraud, can’t believe he has an MVP trophy.
Yeah their run in the 4th quarter was when they put a guy in the middle of the paint as an outlet. Ditching Tucker allowed them to use guys like Green and Rivers who are comfortable scoring with the ball and it worked during their comeback. I also don't know why they don't use Harden more creatively: i think they tried posting him up finally in the 4th but the guy is so skilled you should be able to pull the Lakers away from traps they've been doing by just putting him into a different position on to the court. There is no way Rondo or Caruso could handle him from the triple threat position or a post up.
I mean his stats are consistent with a replacement level player. 36 percent from 3. PER of 11. BPM of 0. VORP plus0.6 Yeah I get it sometimes replacement level players can be the key to teams, particularly top heavy teams who just need players not to get in the way but it wasn't like House stood really out when I watched them
If they had an actual, capable coach, maybe they would. But yoy know, adjustments are a sign of weakness .
So silly. And we are missing one of our best defenders and a starter in Avery Bradley! And he’s not in the bubble for a real reason not for being an idiot and breaking the rules. Cry me an Austin Rivers Rockets fans.
